Lacks comfortable living space.

Living room furniture very uncomfortable. Pool very nice. Water tasted terrible and filter did not produce enough to keep up with our thirst. Location was great for our needs. Would be nice to have face cloths in bathrooms.

Venice Vacation

Nice place, comfy beds. Pool was very nice.Drinking water was gross! Make sure you buy your own water to drink. Other than that it was a quiet neighborhood. I would stay there again.

Overall a great stay

This home was equipt for all age groups. Plenty of pool toys. Two fridges and lots of beach stuff. And plenty of towels! The size of the home was awesome as well. Very large. Our only critiques were that we went in the winter months critique about the home was that when we went the weather wasn’t so warm. We didn’t have the option of making the pool warmer and it shut off more frequently then described in the welcome binder. However, this didn’t stop us from going in on the warmer day. It was very clean and someone came to maintenance it about halfway through our stay. The fridge water filter needed to be replaced as it said it was 99 days overdue. We just bought water bottles / gallon jugs. The only bad thing we could say about this stay is that the water here is loaded with sulfur. It smells like rotten eggs mixed with metal and was unbearable at times. It also felt slimy. The water in the area will likely taste bad at restaurants. Bring bottled water if you’re going out. The house did have a small filter in the kitchen sink area but it didn’t contain more than about 24 oz of water at most. Location is great for kids as there was so much to do. The nature preserve/park is right up the road (within walking distance) and was absolutely beautiful. A big playground was there as well. Right around the corner from Sharkeys. We found tons of shark teeth in just a few hours. And in downtown Venice there was a shark scavenger hunt and a little splash park.

Great house

Loved the house and location. Close enough to great beaches. Beds were comfortable and house was stocked with enough supplies for our week stay. Our only “complaint” is that the water has a strong sulfur odor our first couple of days. The water softener was serviced during our stay which helped with the smell. We would stay here again

As advertised except for some maintenance issues

The house was as described and in a good location to access shark tooth hunting beaches for the kids. The pool was really nice. We were disappointed that when we arrived the ceiling fan and overhead lights were not working. Rather than fix the problem, Bud left us a small dusty fan to use. Given how much we paid for our stay, we felt it should have been fixed. While we were there the water smelled like sulfur. We thought that was Florida water but came back to the house one day to find workers fixing the water softener and telling us it had been broken. Bud had not disclosed this problem to us. So we found that disappointing for the price (with fees more than $400 per night).

South Venice

Fully stocked property for families. Plenty of towels for bath/beach and plenty to cook with in the kitchen. House was nicely sealed from bugs and critters. Pool stayed at constant heated temp as advertised. Quiet and friendly neighborhood. Only downside - one tv in the house. I will continue to stay on Buds properties when we visit Venice.

Great location

Beach and town we so close!! Great location. Enjoyed fishing and the park down the street. The house was in need of some regular maintenance ( shower fixtures, light bulbs, blinds, dishwasher repair) but they were addressed and some put on a list. I was a bit confused about the additional payment for heating the pool. The temp fell at or below 70 for over a week. A good cleaning with paying attention to detail would be needed. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels. Washer and dryer were appreciated as we were there 4 weeks.

Great Location and Home

We stayed at this property from Feb. 1 - 28. We had a great time. The home is well stocked. Great location in a safe neighborhood. The pool was warm and inviting. While it may seem like a small pleasure, the sheets and towels were extremely soft and comfortable. If it’s the beach that you like, this house has it all. Overhead canopy, chairs, umbrella, and shark tooth hunting equipment. Did I mention that it’s close to Casperson beach? You won’t regret staying in this home. We’d stay again!

Nice home in convenient location

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday with our family of 4. The home is exactly as pictured and is very comfortable, easy to cook in and well stocked. We had a few issues which were all resolved by the owner with whom the communication was very good.

Always a good time

This is our second time staying at one of Bud’s properties and as usual, it didn’t disappoint! We have a long drive down and the first thing the kids did was jump in that great pool! Close to so many local beaches & great food spots. We’re already looking to book another trip for spring break. Thanks Bud!

Perfect getaway

Property located in a well cared for and quiet community. Just a few miles to historic downtown and beaches. Super clean home with dining and breakfast nook and the large living room leads to the pool. The pool was very clean and enjoyed by all. Extra linen galore. Beach chairs and beach towels provided. Check in super easy and host responded quickly to our questions. Will book again!

This property was absolutely amazing! It was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a meal! There were so many things that you could take to the beach that I don’t think I have ever enjoyed going to the beach as much as I did this time around! Amazing family house

We had the BEST time!!! My kid's spent more time in the pool than anywhere else. It was more than spacious enough for the five of us. We needed a couple things during our stay and had feedback quickly. We had typical Florida afternoon rains which didn't damper anything, fabulous gecko friends and even a backyard visit from an iguana. It was easy to get around to many places, the beaches were beautiful and full of amazing shells and plenty of sharks teeth. If you are looking for a relaxing, not super touristy part of Florida to visit please choose here. The area is lovely, the people are nice and I could just live in Venice.

April Vacation

We loved our stay at Bud's property. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was convenient to beaches and stores. Bud had beach chairs, umbrella and cooler available. We would definitely stay here again.

Well Equipped Kitchen

We do a lot of cooking on vacation and this kitchen had most all items we needed. The location was in a neighborhood, a short walk to a nice park with trails and basketball courts and a short drive to lots of beautiful beaches. We didn't feel like we were in a tourist trap, which was nice.

South Venice

This rental property was a great location to manasota beach and shamrock park. It was clean and simple. Basic necessities were provided but we did end up having to purchase more paper towel, garbage bags, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc.
