The house was big, comfortable, and beautifulâespecially the swimming pool, which we had a lot of fun with. The owner was very nice and communicated well. We originally booked the house for the weekend of August 1, but the owner told us it wasnât available for that weekend and offered a 10% discount if we moved to another date. We agreed, and weâre glad we didâit turned out to be a wonderful stay.If I had to point out a couple of things I wasnât fully satisfied with, the air pot and microwave werenât clean, so we had to wash them ourselves before using them. Also, the cabinet at the corner of the kitchen bar had a sharp edge, and one of my friends accidentally hit her head on it while picking something up. Iâd suggest the owner fix that to prevent anyone else from getting hurt.
We are Canadians and love meeting people from around the world. We like being a host because making memories with family and friends is the most valuable gift you can give. We enjoy helping other people create memorable engagements, weddings, family reunions, and moments with friends.
Coxsackie is the most beautiful and scenic town: set along the Hudson River and just 2 hours to NYC via train. We love the small community, historic downtown with walkable shopping and restaurants. We restored this farmhouse that was built in 1855 and put love into every room.
A historic 1855 farmhouse along the Hudson River, with sweeping water views and gorgeous trees. We are the most private property compared to other listings in Coxsackie; we have a 6 foot privacy fence surrounding the entire property. No ticks, no animals in the backyard to carry ticks and disease. We have an enormous in-ground pool (unheated) and a 6 person hot tub. We have a pickleball and tennis court, a black-topped backyard area for sports and recreation, a fire pit with a chimnea, and outdoor dining table. A screened porch on the back with hammock swings and a glass sunroom on the front of the house to view the river while you're reading and drinking a coffee.
