Short Sands 4th of July

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The apartment was clean and offered plenty of space for our family of four. Its location was ideal for exploring York Beach, with everything we needed just a short stroll away.

Hi, We love York Short Sands beach and come here every summer! Love the town and having everything you need within walking distance! The apartment was fabulous, very clean, great amenities and great communication! We would definitely recommend and come back again!

Family beach vacation

We did a family vacation with my 80yrs old grandparents and our family of 4! The propwrty is in a great local and plenty of space! We loved being in walking distance to the beach, park, zoo and all the shops! Would definitely stay here again! My grandparent accidentally took the matress protector home when taking their sheets off the bed and she was great to work with and not upset. I have worked in a hotel for 15yrs and manager and this was a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend for families!

Practical Review

This was a great apartment, in a great location, you are literally right in downtown York beach and about a three minute walk away from Short Sands. The property managers were incredibly responsive. We had an issue with the AC and they came that day to replace it. Super nice and easy to get in touch with. I wish they had been more clear about things they did and did not have in the apartment. There are standing oscillating fans in every room, I had no idea, so we brought fans. There are a ton of things missing in the kitchen like Tupperware, a peeler etc which would have been great to know. The railings going up on the stairs are dangerous and little children needs to be carefully watched as they do not have slats, but huge gaps. There were like ten remotes and no instructions on how to use the tv. I think if they just added a little book or pamphlet telling you about the property that would be great. The coin laundry in the description made it seem like it was on the property, which it was not. I think if you have kids over five this is an awesome space and location!

We have a very large group that vacations in York Beach every summer....these apartments were perfect for us....lots of room and very clear and the interactions with the landlords were very good....Nice people!! Only unfortunate occurance....we took home one of the keys to the apartment....mailed back....that was our mistake and hopefully will be forgiven !!

We have stayed at this property multiple times and loved it again this year! The location can’t be beat. It’s walking distance to many shops and restaurants. A few minute walk to the beach and no worries about parking. Can’t wait to stay again!

Best week in York with young family! Place was clean and larger than expected. AC came in handy on hot days. Location was minutes from everything. Bedrooms and living space was quiet with windows closed. Great time! Will return!

Good Property, Bad Management

The property was exactly as listed. It had a nice porch and was located perfectly for our stay. It was very close to food and the beach. We ran into issues mostly with the property management company. We did not receive any info on the property when we arrived, but were just handed the keys. There was no information in the apartment, and we were unable to access the internet. When I contacted the management through the app, I was told that info was supposed to be communicated at check in, and they were unable to help because they were not in their office on the weekend. A day later I went to property mangers office to get the information, and they sent some one over later to tell us the password. The next issue was with the parking. There are only two spots assigned to the property. Guests are assigned numbers and given tags. This parking lot is shared with the other apartment as well as the pizza and burrito places below the apartments. Guest are given very strict orders to only park in their assigned spots. Returning from the beach one day, a car was parked in our spot. When I walked to the property management office to notify them, the response I received amounted to roughly, "what do you want me to do, we aren't going to have them towed." It was then easy to tell that the guests were not the first priority of the management company.

We apologize for your experience with the parking and WiFi. We don't have a management company. This is a family business. Our campground handles everything once you arrive. The WiFi info should have been given at check-in. We did send someone over to help you. As far as the parking situation goes, we did provide you with another parking spot until the other car was moved. We also told you from the beginning that we only had spots for 2 cars. We even went out of our way to find you another place to park your 3rd vehicle. You still parked in the 3rd car in another one of of our spots overnights and moved it in the morning. We chose not to say anything, though

Amazing week at an amazing place!

The location can’t be beat! Close to shopping, restaurants and the beach! No need to worry about driving or parking. The apartment was exceptionally clean and cozy. The space accommodated our party of 6 wonderfully! We also really enjoyed cooking and eating on the porch. Can’t wait to go back!

Location

Great rental for our week in York. We have been to this rental several years. It is clean, modern and with a great central location in short sands. Quiet with windows closed even though being on the Main Street.

Property was nice but would have loved to have some shade out on the deck, an umbrella or something. Also when we did the map search of this property it showed it above The Goldenrod so was quite surprised at where it was located which was fine.
