Love the layout of the villa, perfect for large group! The pond below the deck was full of turtles, fish, and even an alligator—which provided lots of viewing entertainment!

Lovely condo close to the beach

Have been visiting OIB for the past 10+ years and love these condos for their close proximity to the beach. This one was very nice, recently repainted with a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Great communication too.

Had a great time at the beach with family. We rented side by side condos. 4B is comfortably furnished and the kitchen well equipped. A few areas need a little more attention from the cleaners - the oven, some carpets, the shower enclosure in one bathroom.

Lovely condo/Awesome host!

This place is just like the pictures. Everything was great! Cliff is accommodating and communicates in a very timely manner. Only complaint is that on arrival, we went into the condo to assess what we needed at the grocery store, and while there, one of us had to use the bathroom, and there was not one roll (not even a partial roll) of toilet paper in any of the four bathrooms. Overall, we had an awesome stay. Loved the huge (very comfortable) sectional couch that fit our entire family. Would highly recommend this property.

Barge Inn

We took my 85 year old parents down to OIB for a quick weekend getaway. The building elevator was fantastic for them to come and go easily. The condo is spacious and the location on the island is quiet and peaceful this time of year. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. One thing that would have been better is that if the primary bathroom would have had a walk-in shower for my parents to use. They are both very mobile but stepping into a tub can be a little risky. They did use the adjoining room's bathroom for showers ( which wasn't occupied) and it had a walk-in shower. The property manager Cliff was amazing and communicated throughout the booking until check out. It was a great weekend getaway.

Great location - sub standard cleanliness and inadequate supplies

The location of the property was great, convenient to beach and the town. Check in was easy and convenient. However, the bad signals started when we got a message from the property manager two days b4 arrival that we needed to bring our own cleaning and paper products. Yes, even TP, paper towels, napkins, laundry detergent, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, and dish soap. Then we arrived to find a dead cockroach on the kitchen counter. There was blood spatter on a mirror in a bathroom, there were spaghetti noodles on the counter and kitchen floor, mold in the grout in the showers, chips in and around the coffee table and the corners of the tile flooring look like they'd never been cleaned. We were stunned at how filthy the unit was. The manager offered to have someone come to clean again, but we had just arrived from a long trip and didn't want to have someone cleaning around us as we were getting our baby's sleeping area set up. We subsequently found 5 more cockroaches over the course of our 4 night stay. The overall experience was certainly less than satisfying as we felt we couldn't get comfortable in such a dirty space. The check out process was weird in that they wanted us to wash, dry and fold towels before checking out at 11am. And remember, this request came without providing any laundry detergent. We did all the towels the night before, but the morning shower towels had to be left due to lack of time and detergent.

Note regarding future stays- this property is currently undergoing a makeover that began on September 28th and includes a deep clean and all new paint for entire unit. We have replaced the current cleaning team with another company that we have been working with since 2004 that has 25 years of experience. We have monthly year round pest control service and are addressing those issues with the service provider.

Very easy to rent through Cottage Vacations. Cliff was super responsive with the few issues we had. It’s easy to overlook those when you are surrounded with family, lovely weather and great food! This is a perfect location.

From the beginning the communication has been excellent!! We were able to get in with no issues. Loved the property the rooms and it was walking distance to the beach. We had a relaxing time. Will definitely be going back!!

Overall positive experience

The condo is spacious and feels even bigger than it is. The condo was clean but lacked a deep clean feel. Something I expected given the current climate with COVID-19 concerns. I was disappointed to find several items broken upon arrival. I reached out to the owner, and he was very apologetic and responded quickly to have the items addressed. The location was ideal for the ocean, just a short walk. The pool was further (far enough that we drove there) and the pool was connected to bar/restaurant so we could not bring our own adult beverages. This wasn't spelled out in the description. Other than those points we had a positive experience and enjoyed our stay.

Stranded in OIB

With the run on gasoline, we needed to extend our vacation. Found this by chance and the whole family were happily surprised. Cliff was absolutely terrific.
