  • Fabulous spot for family fun

"We (2 families with kids aged 5 to 9) rented Blue Heron Guest house for Thanksgiving weekend. We could not have chosen a better property or location. The house is beautiful with great facilities (hot tub, fire pit, fully stocked kitchen, spacious, clean, comfortable) and is located minutes from Chesterman Beach in a quiet cul de sac. It is a very pretty spot. I would thoroughly recommend the house for family groups and we would not hesitate to come back.....in fact we didn't want to leave! Perfect Thanksgiving weekend of relaxation, good food and fun in a wonderful home."

  • Great value!

"My fiancée and I discovered Tofino for the first time in September - this place made it so easy. Great view off the deck, we watched the daily blue Herring fishing off the dock among other birds. The hourly float plane takes off just down the way, which we loved (we took that float plane to Maquinna Cove hot springs, HIGHLY recommend it!). Unit was equipped with the basics for cooking your own meals, the bed was comfortable and everything was in working order. There's a ramp from the parking lot making it easy to lug your luggage to the unit. Unit is walking distance to everything, that's the beauty of Tofino it's so small! The only negative was that the place smelled of marijuana when we arrived, we bought an air freshener and left all windows open and it improved. Overall great spot to explore the town with a nice view!"

  • Comfortable, clean and well-stocked

"We spent a week at the ‘Beachwood’ home at the end of October. The first winter storms were starting to roll in, so it was great to know that we would come home to a quiet, comfortable and relaxing place at the end of each day after exploring the beaches, forests and towns. The vacation rental is located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking an inlet teeming with wildlife. The house is well stocked, providing everything one would need to prepare meals, play games, watch DVDs or simply enjoy the ebb and flow of the tides from the warmth and comfort of the living room. The bed we slept in was very comfortable and the house was very clean. Joanna was quick to respond to questions and gave us clear instructions on how to find the house and what to do in the area. The beaches of Florencia and Halfmoon Bay can be accessed on foot from the house via a nice hike through coastal forest. The small town of Ucluelet is a little farther south and Tofino is about a 20-minute drive to the north. FYI, we took a quick seaplane ride from Tofino over the pristine inlets, forests and coast to the north of it - this is something we can definitely recommend as a ‘must-do’ for a memorable and spectacular view of the area."

  • Private and cozy

"This was our first visit to Tofino so we had no idea the "nest" was across from the most beautiful beach. We had ample space for two and everything' we needed to be comfortable. My only criticism is that the mattress needs replacing, too soft and saggy for us."
