  • Convenient Location But A Bit "Industrial"

"The casita is convenient to downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona and many tourist sites, but it's on an narrow street/alley behind a not-very-vibrant business district and not far from the railroad tracks and a park with quite a few homeless folks living in it. We got used to the train noises and the homeless folks never bothered us, but the casita was not a place where we wanted to spend a lot of time; we just used it as a "home base" for sleeping and showering. And for that use, the place was a good value. As for interior amenities, the kitchen was adequate, but could have used more silverware; the linens were good, but the bed was softer than we like; and the AC worked fine, but it would have been nice if windows opened and stayed open by themselves (they were in very poor shape)."

  • Very nice place to stay in Tucson

"The property was exactly as described, but the description doesn't quite convey how nice this place is. The house is extra clean and just the right size for two people. The kitchen is well provisioned for cooking and eating, and it was nice to have a private "den" area separate from the bedroom. The property is in a nice residential neighborhood that is convenient to everything in the Tucson area. It was too cool to enjoy a swim during our stay, but the pool area is beautiful and a relaxing place to sit. Bina was easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. Thanks for a great week in Tucson, Bina."

  • Lovely SW home with all the amenities

"We spent two months at John's hacienda, and had a wonderful time. The location is close to amenities (Sabino Canyon, bike trails, shopping, golf) and the house is spacious and furnished in a warm SW style and well supplied with everything anyone would need. My husband loved the BBQ and I enjoyed the back yard full of flowers and fruit trees (the citrus blossoms are SO fragrant!). John is an excellent host, very responsive to any questions and helpful with local information. We recommend it to anyone, whether you're in Tucson for business (great office set up, if needed) or relaxation. We would return in a heartbeat!"

  • More a desert diamond than just any jewel

"Gorgeous house with immaculate, desert shangri-la like gardens and pool area in the back. Complete privacy and quiet. Loudest sound we heard during a week here was the soothing sound of water dropping from the rocks, to the spa, to the pool and the sound of our kids enjoying it. More hummingbirds in this backyard than at the Hummingbird sanctuary at the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum. No better location to explore Mt. Lemmon from than this beautiful house and Karine M was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the process. You will definitely not regret staying at this home during your visit to Tucson!"
