This is our second trip to Bardstown and our second time staying at the HayJac house. The check in process is very easy and the hosts are very responsive. The house is beautiful, stocked with everything you could need for a wonderful trip. We absolutely love the location, close to shops and restaurants. We had an amazing trip and it was wonderful to have such a great house to come back to at the end of a very busy day! We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Great little house. Had all the necessary things, plus those lovely added touches that take a place over the top. Loved having coffee supplies, esp the bourbon coffee -we only stayed 4 nights so not having to provide our own was great. Location was awesome, didn't have to drive once we were in town for the night. Able to walk to the ice cream shop and the speakeasy.Laundry machines were easy to use. Overall great stay, would recommend.

We loved staying here; it was gorgeous, the kitchen and bathroom were lovely, the beds were comfy, and the forced disconnect from the grid was very refreshing. Whenever we visit the Bourbon Trail again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back!We have Verizon, and we were unable to access anything inside, and outside you get about 1 bar and very, very slow internet speeds. There is no Wi-Fi in the unit. If you drive 2 mins in either direction on the main road, you can get 5G UltraWide. Note: if you have a car that is very low to the ground or doesn't handle steep inclines on gravel very well, keep in mind that at night, in a thunderstorm, you may have a hard time getting down to the cabin.The only things they need to add are a welcome mat/boot brush and a broom and a mop. We went on a short hike and tracked in dirt and had no way to clean it outside of ruining a towel or two, which we didn't want to do, so we just put up with the dirt.

I couldn’t believe we were able to snag this last minute the weekend of bourbon fest but i'm so thankful we did. Parking directions were easy and accurate, check in was a breeze, and the home is perfection. Literally smack dab in the middle of main street/town square and within walking distance of food, shopping, specialty stores and bars. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were so accomodating for getting ready in the morning and relaxed at night. We will definitely be back!

We embraced history, stepping back into the early 1800s as we checked into a guest house straight out of a storybook. As we pulled up, our welcoming committee awaited us: none other than the owner's four-legged ambassador, the furry guardian of the gates. With its weathered charm and timeless allure, the guest was a sanctuary from the modern world. And yet, just a stone's throw away lay the heartbeat of Bardstown - its main street. Ah, the main street! A bustling boulevard filled with treasures aplenty. From the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting from cozy cafes to the tantalizing scents of handmade soap and candles teasing our senses, it was an array of delights. And let's not forget the charming boutiques, where every piece of clothing seemed to whisper, "Take me home!" As the days unfolded like pages in a delightful novel, we found ourselves enchanted by Bardstown's magic. And amidst it all, our historic guest house stood as a beacon of comfort and nostalgia.
