A well thought out vacation house, maximizing the views. The beds were very comfortable and the towels & linens were quality. The location was perfect, we wish we would have had more time there. We are already planning the next trip!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We stayed 1 week in this magical location. The river was a little dark from the fires further up in the mountains, but it was still very soothing to hear the river rushing by. We had another couple with us and the house was perfect. We hiked through the Valle Caldera and saw the Elk. The house was clean, had everything we needed and really had a feel of New Mexico. Thanks for opening you home to us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

The River House is just what my friends and I were looking for in a home base for our time in beautiful NM. We knew we were in the perfect place when we stepped onto to patio and heard the sound of the river and looked up at the magificent stars that first night! The house was comfortable, clean, and looks just like the pictures. Thanks for a great time! Can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My vacation idea involved a hideaway of regional architecture surrounded by mesa and mountain -- landscape with "bones." The River House is a classic Southwestern adobe tucked into a choice riverside location in the beautiful Jemez Mountains, an easy hour and 15 minute drive from the Albuquerque area. Although the riverfront is quite crowded with housing of every description, the house was situated to give you a sense of privacy and a stretch of river that felt like it was all yours. The River House is beautifully appointed with glazed tile accents, windows with views, comfortable furnishings and every kitchen convenience. The gas fireplace was a big plus on cold nights. There is plenty in the area to get you out, but the place is so enjoyable and the spot so pretty, hanging out "at home" was a highlight of the trip. A great place!Did you find this review helpful? What a comfortable and charming home. The views of the mesas were spectacular and the location was quiet and felt secluded but still convenient to all Jemez Springs has to offer. Listening to the river from the back deck was so peaceful and delightful. Thanks so much for sharing your home and hope to return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/4
