You can have the feel of an authentic log cabin without sacrificing modern day amenities in the Lakeview Log Cabin. This cabin is primarily used for a second home, so we have paid attention to the details. The chalet style west facing windows let in the evening light and create a warm atmosphere in the kitchen and living room, or it can be enjoyed even more from the two large decks and backyard. Or you can lay back and bring it all in sitting in the large hot tub. The three seperate levels of the cabin, with the common areas in convenient locations make it easy to fit a large number of people without sacrifing privacy. On the main level you enter to the mud room which has the washer and dryer. From there you go into the hallway which has the master bedroom with a king size bed and toddler bed across from the bedroom is the first full bathroom, and from there it opens into the great room and kitchen with 20 foot vaulted ceilings. Up the stairs is the loft with a king size bed, couch and room for blow up beds or sleeping bags. The two bedrooms in the lowest level have an olympic queen size bed in one room and two sets of bunk beds in the other, with a full size futon as the lower choice on one of them. There is a full bathroom near those bedrooms. Also on the lower level is the pool table, darts and the lower deck that is covered and has the hot tub. There is individual heat in each room for added comfort of individual preferences and a wood burning stove in the main living area that is more than adequate to heat the entire cabin, and provides great cabin ambience. There is an abundance of recreational ooportunities in the area including; a great ski area with a diverse amount of terrain fit for both experts and beginners, a Jack Nicklaus golf course, Georgetown lake which provides multiple recreational opportunities, and multiple high alpine lakes and breathtaking mountain views. Once you have stayed you will want to return, it is a wonderful place in the heart of the Montana mountains.

Lakeview Log Cabin
Why the Owner Chose Georgetown
There's something for everyone here whether you are looking for peace and quiet or the ultimate outdoor adventure. World class hunting and fishing is my favorite feature. But it's also great having a ski area that has runs for all levels 5 minutes from my back door. My friends love snowmobiling in the red lion area and I've heard those trails go all the way to Philipsburg. The area has become popular for kiteboarding on the frozen lake in the winter for those looking for something new to try, and they even have lessons and rental equpiment. If you're a golfer you should plan on playing the Jack Nicklaus course only 17 miles away called Old Works, black sand pits under the backdrop of the Pintlar mountains is a course you won't forget.
Red lion recreation area, popular for snowmobiling and 4 wheeling

House was beautiful, just as described, and the homeowner has thought of EVERYTHING to make your visit comfortable! Plenty of room for our party of 9, which included kids ages infant to teen. Lake is just a short trip down the hill, great for fishing. Fire restrictions prevented us from having a campfire in the firepit, but that was probably the biggest downside. Owners were very friendly, and prompt in answering questions. EXCELLENT value for the $$, we will visit again! THANKS!

Our family stayed in this cabin and enjoyed every minute of it. It was fully stocked and we had plenty of room. The hot tub and pool table were huge hits. Our kids are asking when we can go back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

We had a great time in July at Lakeview Log Cabin! It was quiet and relaxing with all the comforts of home. The fire pit, pool table and music playing hot tub were big hits with the two teenage boys in tow and the fishing at Georgetown Lake was excellent!! The highlight of the stay was the visiting bear after the garbage truck came by!! It pretty much made our stay complete!! The sunsets over the lake visible from the deck were amazing!! The next time we come back to Montana (and we will) this home is at the top of our list!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!! My one suggestion: add a picture of the front of the home so it is easier to find the first time!!!

What a great space we enjoyed with our family of 6 adults and 4 children aged 3-7. It was child friendly and generous and well maintained in it's accommodations and amenities. And the skiing was really great especially for mid-March. Thank you.

The "Cabin' is beautiful. It's more like a luxury home at the lake. My family and I met up there, and had a wonderful time. There is so much to do in the area, everyone was happy.

Cabin was clean, well-equipped and very nice with all the amenities of a primary household--including HDTV. And, aside from the woodstove, it's completely child-proof. I highly recommend this rental to anyone interested in staying minutes from the ski hill and the lake.
