Why the Owner Chose Kapaa
We purchased our condo on the East side of the island for several reasons:
(1) Proximity to the water. We truly are as close to the water as you can get on Kauai. The
pictures on the website are from our actual condo and our lanai. You can see the ocean
from almost every room.
(2) Location. We love to explore all that Kauai has to offer and our central location allows
us to get to either end of the island in about 40 minutes. The East side also offers the
majority of the restaurants and shopping in Kauai. We both love to eat and the variety
(and quality) of food available close to the condo is outstanding. It also eliminates
the stress of driving at night on the island.
(3) Resort amenities - The resort offers all that you would expect and more. We have a big
pool with hottub and saunas, two tennis courts, volleyball courts, shuffleboard,
golf putting greens, and horseshoes. We also have a herb garden, several private BBQ
areas, a fitness room, and a full-service activities desk. If you want to stay close to
home, it's a fantastic place to spend time and of course the ocean/beach are only a few steps away.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
OCEANFRONT!!! We love waking up in the morning and seeing the turquoise blue water glistening in the morning sunlight. We spend every morning eating breakfast on the lanai and every evening watching the moonlight dance on the water. I can't imagine travelling all the way to Hawaii and not staying next to the ocean!
Our location is truly oceanfront with only 50 yards of beach and grass between us and the water. Unlike Princeville, where almost all the condos are up on a bluff (thus requiring either a hike down a steep hill or a drive to the beach), we have a quick easy walk to the beach and water.
Great family beach with a great kids beach and sheltered swimming spot. Also good snorkeling.
Several small restaurants, fast food, and souvenier stores
The bike path runs right behind the condo and along the ocean. You can go for miles to the North.

Aloha!! Welcome to our "home away from home" on the beautiful island of Kauai. We purchased our home on our 4th trip to Kauai with the hopes of one day retiring to this beautiful island. Unfortunately, we are several years from retirement bliss so we are only able to spend a few weeks a year enjoying the condo. This, however, has presented a great opportunity for us to share our home with you. We are very lucky to have met some great people in Kauai who make sure the condo is in perfect condition for you when you arrive.
We strive to provide a fantastic place to stay at a reasonable cost and the comments from past guests confirm that we are doing just that. My husband and I vacationed at this condo for our honeymoon. Loved the location. It is central to all places you might want to go. The view is better than the pictures. The price was the cheapest around for such a beautiful place. We spent 8 nights over Christmas. I could just sit and watch the ocean all day long. I would highly recommend this place. The best was how accommodating the owners were. We had to cut our trip short, and they refunded us our money. Would stay here again.

Just a little note to say "Thank you!" for your hospitality and offering such a wonderful vacation house for us to spend such a memorable Thanksgiving! Breathtaking ocean-front view. Watching sunrise and sunset from lanai, getting around w/ super convenient location and everything in the condo is neat and clean. Like lots of people here have said, we really felt home away from home.

We just returned from Kauai last week. This condo was perfect! Exactly as described in the ad and the pictures. The complex was well kept and clean. This condo has been nicely updated, plus had some of the luxuries of home that made sightseeing easier: beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, tennis rackets, etc...that were provided or had been left behind by other guests- plus a fully functional kitchen. Centrally located to easily get to either side of the island and plenty of restaurants and shops in a easy walking distance or short drive.

We are back home and missing Kauai. This was our first visit and we loved it. The condo was perfect. It was clean and light and cool. What fun to be right by the ocean. We walked on the path by the ocean in the morning and there was an almost full moon that reflected off the ocean in the evening as we sat on the deck. We ate out mostly, except breakfast, but your kitchen is big and well stocked. Very comfortable bed and thanks for the ceiling fans. We went snorkeling, visited several waterfalls, to the overlook (thanks for the books in the bathroom, we took them with us and followed your must see places) and toured a botanical garden. Favorite restaurants were the Indian buffet, and Olympic Cafe (tropical salad and Macadamia Nut pie) in Kapaa and the shrimp truck in Poipu. We were pleasantly surprised to have the LDS church right across the street for us on Sunday morning! We walked downtown to all the fun shops. Thank you for helping make our few days on Kauai so memorable. We would definitely recommend your condo, the staff was so helpful and the condos and grounds were beautiful.

We spent a wonderful Christmas vacation with our two grown children at this oceanfront condo. Indeed, it did not take a lot of effort to go to the local beach - two flights of stairs and we were there. But it was also the proximity to the beaches and activities on the Northern as well as Southern tip of Kauai that made this well-maintained and well-equipped condo an unforgettable place for Christmas. We do hope to return to confirm that the apartment has a similar appeal at other times of the year. Hint - we have no doubts, and would probably again play in the waves, go sailing and ziplining, hiking and running, etc.

Nicely renovated condo with simple modern decor. We traveled with our 10 month old baby and there was lots of room for all three of us. The view is lovely, and being a corner unit on the top floor there is a lot of privacy. We used the walking path along the beach everyday, and restaurants and stores in Kapaa are so close that your shave ice will still be intact when you bring it back to eat on the lanai. Near the condo - Lydgate Beach was the best for baby, Kealia Beach was best for boogie boarding, and Kalapaki Beach was best to have a cocktail at Dukes with a view. Easy to make day trips all over the island from this location.

Do yourselves a favor and rent this place. We stayed here for our wedding and honeymoon and couldn't have chosen better. No picture could quite capture the stunning view from the lanai, and the condo is immaculate and has everything you'll need. Kevin and Angela are responsive and terrific hosts, too. This is the perfect place to stay on Kauai. It is conveniently located, so if you plan to do a lot of driving around, Kapaa is the ideal location.

This is a great place to stay. Turquoise water and the pounding surf right off your lanai, 2 putting greens, pink sunrises and IZ on the stereo, what more says Hawaii. It sits about halfway between all activities on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

This was the first time we rented a condo on VRBO and I was a little nervous about the process,paying up front, renting sight unseen etc.....however we were thrilled with Kevin and Angela's condo. It was better than the pictures. We felt at home:the condo was in a perfect and central location. When we go again we would want to stay there again.. Kevin was helpful and a great landlord for 10 days.Kevin and Angela's third floor,corner unit had a stunning view and was a perfect getaway.

We stayed here December 2008. The location is central and therefore makes it easy to explore the entire island from here. The complex is very close to everything you need. Grocers, restaurants and best of all...the ocean is directly in front of you. The grounds are beautiful. The condo is well appointed--lacking nothing. The guidebooks helped a ton. The owners are very well organized and made the rental easy and provided maps and written directions so it was easy to find when we came in at night. We stayed on three islands and this was the nicest condo and the least expensive. Great Job!!!!
