"This house has a great layout. It has a separate master suite wing (bedroom and full bath) and then 2 rooms upstairs on other side with full bath. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking/eating utensils/pots/plates. The dining room table is large and so beautiful of (reclaimed?) wood. The backyard has a great grill and nice outside tables. The views are great from backyard. The front porch is a wonderful place to relax and quite private and fenced in. There are two beaches within walking distance - the beach in front of the Grand Hyatt is great to watch the surfers and for the brave, swimming. A lot of people swim there, but the surf can be rough. There is a WONDERFUL path that begins at the far end of the Grand Hyatt beach that goes for 3 miles to a very secluded beach. (forget name of beach and path - but you can look up - it isn't a secret path - well traveled by Hyatt guests). You can also drive to the beach past the horseback riding place and keep going (VERY ROUGH RIDE after the horse farm) to the parking lot for the beach if you want. I recommend the hike though - beautiful views. The other beach is Poipu beach. That is a public beach with parking if you want. The snorkeling is great there. I recommend water shoes though. The walk to Hyatt is flat and easy (10-15 min walk). The path is along the ocean. We saw whales (in air!) from the point (December). The walk to Poipu is more hilly - similar time, but down a hill and then back up! There is a long term construction project directly across the house. The noise is loud between 8am and 5pm so if you are home during the day, it would be a drag. The construction does spoil what was once an amazing view. After the project is over, the view will be better (with houses instead of a construction site). This will be a long term project so if you rent within the next year (or two), expect there to be construction. However, there is still a view of the ocean where we saw whales from the front porch. The construction does not block the view, but is part of the view. The view from the backyard is amazing (no construction). We were out during the day so construction didn't bother us much. This is a great house- very close to beach! We had 5 adults in this house and we paid a fraction of what 3 hotel rooms across the street would have cost! I recommend this house very highly - great house and great location to points west and north. I frequently use VRBO so I can compare to similar rentals."

  • Our condo was amazing!

"7 great nights in a wonderful condo with everything our family needed. Pool was perfect and much larger than I thought. View was spectacular! I could see people jumping off Shipwrecks, watch incredible sunrises and see amazing sunsets. Turtles were fantastic and only yards away. You could walk anywhere from the condo by way of the paved paths to different resorts. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for your fantastic rental!"

  • Wonderful Stay

"We stayed for a week this past July. This home is beautiful and well kept. I do wish all of the bedrooms had air-two of them do not and several nights it was uncomfortable for our guests. We also had a problem with the air conditioning unit in the master bedroom blowing a fuse and it took 24 hours to fix. They did give us late check out for the hassle, so it was a fair exchange! Take advantage of the opportunity to book the Poipu Beach Athletic Club. We enjoyed taking the kids there and the little restaurant! We loved the location of the house, the views, the beautiful property, and the proximity to a variety of beaches and shopping!"

  • Phenomenal Views, Perfect Location in Poipu

"We just returned from a one week stay in the penthouse at Poipu Shores (406A). Our family of four (2 teens) LOVED the accommodations. What you see in the pics is exactly what you get. The views from the condo are absolutely spectacular. We loved watching the waves crash against the rocky shoreline. As we watched from the lanai, we saw turtles frolicking in the waves below every day of our vacation. The location of the condo on the south shore is ideal. It is just a 5 minute walk to Brennecke's beach and Poipu Beach Park. Boogie boards and beach chairs were provided in the condo. We made the trek several times daily to play in the ocean waves, have dinner at Brennecke's or to see the seals and sea turtles that would come onshore daily to warm/rest in the sun. If you walk 5 minutes in the opposite direction toward the Hyatt, you can hop on the Mahaulepu Trail for more spectacular ocean views on a walk, hike or morning run. Sunrise and sunsets from the condo cannot be beat. The pool was heated, warm and a nice place to just relax and listen to the waves crash below. Great restaurants and shopping are not a far drive away. Condo is well maintained and provides all the creature comforts of a home away from home."
