"Our Cabin" is a new log home just finished in July 2007. It is located on a ridge one lot back from the lake with views of Lake Lure and the dam.
There are three floors, each with a bedroom and full bathroom. The bedrooms all have two twin beds. There is a day bed in the game room that can be used for an extra twin if needed. The main floor bedroom has a 32" LCD TV. There is a full modern kitchen with all the amenities to include a large granite counter with seating. The den has a wood burning stone fireplace with a 42" plasma set built in, a dining table for six, and covered porch and large deck. On the deck are rockers, picnic table and large charcoal grill.
Upstairs on the loft there is a separate den/reading area with 2 recliners. In the bedroom a 20" flat TV can be found mounted between the beds. Downstairs is the gameroom. A 50" Plasma HDTV set is mounted on the wall with full Home Theater sound. A large selection of movies is kept here as well as full satellite hook-up. Plenty of seating down here as well as a card/bumper pool table, foosball table, and bunches of board games. This level has a huge deck also with picnic table. The bedroom also features a 32" flat screen TV.
If you need to stay connected "Our Cabin" is DSL/WiFi enabled, so bring your laptop.
There's plenty to do at the house and much to do within a few miles of the house. Sightseeing, Chimney Rock, the public beach, boat rentals, fishing, tubing, antiquing, golf (3 nearby courses), hiking, and restaurants to name a few.

This cabin was perfect for our family. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 baths- 1 on each level provided the space and privacy we needed. Our teens loved the downstairs suite/game room. The cabin was secluded but convient to local attractions. Important to us was a nice flat driveway. We loved cruising the lake in our rented pontoon and horseback riding on the mountain trails. We have stayed at many mountain cabins but never have I found one better equiped. Definitely will be back!!

This is a 3 story cabin, with a bedroom and bath on each floor. The down stairs has a gameroom with 2nd living space(which my kids took over) that came in handy, we have a 9 nd 11 year old and they loved down stairs gameroom! The cabin is decorated well, with history of Buffalo Bill, which created bedtime stories! The top floor also has a sitting area to read which was great! The balconies were great, everyone could fit out there and still have room to move around. We rented the cabin for a week for a family reunion, so we had bought a ton of food to grill for several nights in a row, and the everyday snacks and treats, unfornately had no where to put it, the kitchen was pretty big for a cabin but there was no space for our stuff...However it was stocked very well they have blender, coffee maker, and toaster oven, everything you can think of! I do have to say there was a ton of stuff to do around the area.. if you have kids, Lake Lure has a beach section that has water tunnels for kids to go down and swim around and ducks to feed, Chimney Rock is only a 15 minutes away, and they have village of shops that i enjoyed, and bought lots of stuff!;-) We also rented a pontoon boat for two seperate days to fish and let kids swim around and take a tour around lake (where Dirty Dancing was filmed)... You're also about 45 minutes away from Asheville where there are great historical places to vist as well as shops and Nature centers, There was too much we wanted to do but didnt have the time to do it all! I would have given this cabin a 5 if the trees were trimmed a bit to have view of lake and also have some shelving units in pantry to put food and what not up, instead of having to have stack food on counters. We had a Great time! if you have older kids this cabin is great! but becareful of stairs they are kinda steep going down.... My kids enjoyed themselves so much they wanted us to buy the cabin!

Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin. It is more beautiful than the pictures. It had every luxury of home plus more. We throughly enjoyed every minute of our long weekend. Can't wait to stay here again later this year. I've already recommended it to so many of our friends.

The pictures of the cabin are beautiful, however they do not do justice to what you find when arriving at Our Cabin. Our group was met by the Inn Keeper, who left her phone number and said to call anytime. When we called to ask about lighting a fire, she quickly returned with fire logs for a quick and easy fire. We were pleasantly surprised by many extra touches, including an Easter card and chocolate bunny! We definitely hope to return in the future.

A roaring fireplace, huge televisions, a simple Christmas tree, comfortable beds, all of the necessities, clean, comfy, cozy, warm - great view! We had an awesome stay at this cabin in early December 2008. We definitely would recommend this cabin to others - great customer service from the owner. Bring popcorn, it's the only thing that we were missing!
