Could not be more satisfied!!!

Guest: Kristin (Torrance)
Date of Stay: 06/27/11 Review Submitted: 06/30/11

We just got back today and I could not wait to write a review for this property! The house was perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the park (great for my 3 kids ages 6,4,2years) and a 5 minute drive to the casino (great for my parents). Bill and Matt are awesome! We were kindly greeted by them with a tour of the house, beautiful flowers and a basket of goodies that my kids devoured:) The house is beautifully decorated, fully stocked and extremely clean!! The pictures of the backyard DO NOT do it justice! The lanai was perfect to lounge around during the day and roast marshmellows on at night. The retractable awning.... too cool! We cooked outside on the BBQ every night. The outdoor kitchen area with sink and refrigerator made the cooking so easy for me. My kids and I had a blast with all of the water floats and outdoor games that were there. The house felt very private and had a beautiful mountain view. On our second day the pool filter broke so we called Bill and he had someone at the house within an hour. Thank you Bill and Matt! We had an amazing time!!

Great Week Stay- Can't imagine anything better

The house is fantastically laid out and in a great historical location. The house finishings transport you back to a near forgotten era, yet the art work holds you in a modernist present. You cant go wrong with this rental and Matt and Bill are very attentive hosts! We hope to be back.

I LOVE this house

Date of Stay: 03/17/10 Review Submitted: 08/27/10

My family of four has stayed in this wonderful house 3 or 4 times and cannot wait for our next visit. The photos do not do the property justice. The house has a contemporary vibe but it is remarkably comfortable and has every creature comfort you can imagine including but not limited to state of the art TVs/indoor-outdoor stereo (the green rock speakers blend into the lawn quite nicely)/an outdoor gas firepit that has a retractable roof/a great pool and hot tub which has a waterfall and a color show available. The house is on a very quiet street and is very convenient to town and a couple of blocks to Ruth Hardy Park. The back yard has fantastic views of the mountains and is VERY private. All of the linens/towels/plates/glasses/stuff that make a house a home are available and of good quality. This house has everything. It even has a ton of pool floats and a couple of pool umbrellas if you want to sun one side or the other of your body. I cannot recommend the house w/any greater enthusiasm. The house is owned and lovingly maintained by Matt and Bill. On the one or two occasions where something has gone amiss-for example: a squeaking fire detector-they are all over it and have a fix in a friendly and competent manner w/in minutes. This place is perfection and so is Matt and Bill's hospitality and welcoming manner.

Summer Palm Springs Retreat!!

Guest: JC (Redondo Beach, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/08/10 Review Submitted: 07/15/10

The best part about our recent weekend getaway was this fabulous house! We were greeted with a personal tour of the home, there were fresh flowers in almost every room, a welcome basket, fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, towels, poolside accessories…you think you might need it, they’ll have it. It was amazing! We wish we could have stayed longer. The outdoor lanai and grill were great for sharing meals and perfect for late night movies under the stars. This home is in a great neighborhood, private, quiet and close to supermarkets, cvs and downtown….although we never did make it out of the house but once to get more groceries. The photos don't do justice to how beautiful the house really is in person. The wide open layout and all the beautiful furnishings made us feel like we were in a 5 star resort. We’re already looking forward to our next trip back! Thanks Bill & Matt!! :)

Best birthday so far

Guest: Melia (Pasadena, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/02/10 Review Submitted: 07/06/10

I just celebrated my 27th birthday in this EXQUISITE home. I invited several friends to enjoy this space with me and everyone was thoroughly impressed. Everywhere you'll find unique furnishings that you would assume have a neat story to go along with it. The master suite/bathroom was amazing I made SURE to use the soaking tub. The Great Room is a lovely space and ALL the couches are so comfortable. Besides the Great Room, the Lanai and backyard is where most of our time was spent. I LOVE how much seating there is and no matter where you sit, you have a great view. It's so nice to eat outside under the lanai at ANYTIME of the day. Ugh! And the pool! The pool was HEAVEN... Seriously, I was here for 4 days/3 nights and we did not leave except to get food. This place is highly recommended for all kinds of guests. You will not regret it. The owners Bill & Matt are very nice also :)

Why would we stay anywhere else...

Guest: Drew (San Diego, CA)
Date of Stay: 06/18/10 Review Submitted: 06/28/10

My partner and I rented this incredible property to celebrate our 60th and 40th birthdays, respectively. All we can say is the pictures on the website don't do it justice - it is simply amazing architecturally with every detail considered. We occupied the master (of course) and invited close friends to stay in the other 3 bedrooms. The place is exquisite from head to toe, the master bathroom being one of the highlights of the property - it is such a work of art, it is difficult to leave (although one must leave eventually for practical reasons). Spending time inside and outside the home is fun for all since you can retreat to the indoor air conditioning, relax outside in a lounge chair or the pool to catch some rays, or even sit in the semicircle outdoor couch in the shade with misters blowing. Although we had great friends to spend our time there, the place is so beautiful and stocked with amenities, it provides comfort and entertainment in and of itself. Book it, Danno!

Palm Springs Gem!

Guest: CJI (Atherton, CA)
Date of Stay: 06/04/10 Review Submitted: 06/07/10

I honestly wish we could have a stayed a month in this lovely, welcoming home. The hosts are incredible - warm, friendly and very concerned that their guests have an enjoyable time. The house is almost too beautiful for words. The updated mid-century modern styling feels like a 5-star desert retreat, offering sophisticated artwork blended with retro furnishings and spiced up with intriguing fossils, sculpture and clever landscaping. Every where you look, there's something beautiful to see. Functionally, it's hard to beat the open layout of the house. Six of us stayed here and never felt confined or crowded. It's very well stocked - we cooked 3-4 meals, baked a cake and served plenty of fresh margaritas, all using the equipment in the house. We had planned several outings, but found the home so enjoyable, we canceled everything and just laid by the pool. We would return in a heartbeat!
