My wife, 6 year old, 9 month old, and mother & father in-law stayed here 4 nights. It was wonderful. If for some reason you plan on hanging out at the house, you'll miss the A/C (we're from Houston and spoiled by it) but during the night, with the windows open and the fans on, it actually got a little chilly and made for great nights sleep. The pictures, I thought, didn't do the place justice as when we got there, it was far larger than I had expected. The living/dining/sitting area was huge! The beach is a short walk away, and we really enjoyed eating at Buzz's not far away in Kailua. The steps were easy to manage, even after a long, hot hike up to the Pillbox. We were actually directly above the house at one point! This is a great place to stay if you're in Lanikai. Warm in the house during the day, but you don't come to Hawaii to sit in a house all day, so really didn't matter anyway. Mahola!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family spent 7 terrific days at the beach bum hideaway. Everything we needed was there, even the bike was available (we put air in the tires). Waking up in the mornings to birds, roosters and the gecko was what puts me in the mood for paradise. Special touches around the house like the tiki bar made it interesting and enjoyed every minute there. The kitchen was clean and fully equipped to do some cooking. The Cronbergs and Sue McBride made our stay special, The aloha they gave to us in the little things around their fantastic property shows. We will be back next year. Mahalo to all!
