Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: My husband and I purchased this property in 1996. It was 40 acres of unimproved property which, after several years of dedication and hard work, we developed into a home for our family and pets, a guesthouse for friends, and almost 30 acres of vineyards growing a Howell Mountain Reserve Cabernet. This is an ongoing labor of love. We love nature; we love the beauty of Napa Valley; and we love the serenity and peacefullness of our perfect heaven on earth.
Why the Owner Chose Angwin:
Napa Valley is one of the most beautiful locations in the world. We wanted to build something to accommodate families or couples looking for a peaceful, private and comfortable retreat. We travel frequently with our extended family, and our goal was to build something that we ourselves would look for when searching for accommodations. The property is located in the Howell Mountain Appellation, known for its highly volcanic soils that produce coveted wine varietals. Howell Mountain tends to have cooler temperatures during the day and warmer temperatures at night, resulting in a longer growing season.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
We offer the ultimate in privacy, peace and tranquility. The cottage is located on a private ranch estate with views of our vineyards. There are miles of hiking/mountain biking trails just down the street; we are just minutes from world-class wineries and award winning restaurants; we are in the mountains above St. Helena and typically above the fog line on summer mornings; and we'd love to share a glass of wine with you, share about our wonderful Valley, and assist you with your needs.
