"Majestic" is the word most often heard from newcomers to Kelly's Retreat at Livingstone Cove. This beach cottage was completed in 2007 and sits on a rugged hillside facing west, ready and waiting for you to enjoy tonight's enchanting sunset over Northumberland Strait.
This home is of post and beam construction, using 100% native Nova Scotia timbers. Plentiful and large windows allow for multiple and majestic views from virtually every room. Enjoy the sight of Prince Edward Island and Pictou Island from the 500 sq ft glass railed deck. See the local lobstermen from nearby Livingstone Cove set their traps and haul their delicious treasure during the season, then, most summers, the whales start to play just offshore while cruise ships, fishing boats and yachts of all sizes pass quietly in the distance.
The entire second floor is the Master Suite featuring a large bedroom with a queen size bed, a huge bath with a whirlpool tub and a beautiful loft looking down on the living area and the ocean. The main floor features your family room with leather furniture, a soap stone wood stove and a flat screen HD TV, dining room, two bedrooms and a bath all surrounding the modern and fully equipped oak kitchen. The second bedroom features a queen size Select Comfort bed, you pick your sleep number, and a perfect view of the fishing fleet at Livingstone Cove. The third bedroom, tucked in the southeast corner of the house, has two twin beds arranged in trundle fashion.
Bald eagles, hawks and deer are seen on the property most days. If you are a lover of hummingbirds, our feeder is busy from sun up to sun down.
From this home you can hike the extensive Cape George Trail System, ride bikes, kayak, canoe OR sit and read, sleep, beach walk, stay in bed all day just watching mother nature's daily theater played out over the ocean.
