Abaco Blue is an absolute waterfront, newly refurbished property with stunning views of the Sea of Abaco. Just 20 minutes walk South of the Hope Town settlement the house is situated in the quiet neighborhood of Lucayos which gives lots of privacy and peace.
The main house has a huge sitting area with windows and doors on 3 sides giving panoramic views of the Sea of Abaco and Parrot Cay. There are 2 big master bedrooms with king beds, walk in closets and new en suite bathrooms. Both bedrooms have large sliding doors that give great views and direct access onto the deck. The kitchen is brand new and has granite tops and all facilities.
Downstairs, with its own patio and great views, is a self contained apartment (known as Baby Blue) with twin beds, a sitting area, new bathroom and fully equipped kitchen (including granite counter tops).
The house is ideal for 3 couples or teenage children who want their own space!
The whole house is air conditioned, has wifi broadband access at no additional charge and has a back up generator - very important on the islands as there are frequent power cuts between April and November.
A grocery store and beach bar are 10 minutes walk away.
There is a private boat dock in the harbour included in the rental price.
The house enjoys wonderful sunsets and is the perfect base for exploring the historic settlement of Hope Town and Elbow Cay.

We had a wonderful stay at Abaco Blue! The property is stunning, with beautiful contemporary furnishings throughout, and fabulous views of the waterfront. Abaco Blue is in a private, peaceful spot, whilst only being a few minutes golf cart from the centre of Hope Town. It also benefits from being central to the island so it is easy to head both into the township, or to the lesser visited southern end of the island. We stayed in the downstairs self-contained unit which is very spacious and has a private terrace with hammock, and access straight onto the lawn. The bed is HUGE and extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we could need. Upstairs is a fabulous 2-bed apartment with panoramic sea views, and a wonderful wrap-around balcony and gazebo that catches the evening sunsets. We found it immaculately kept and spotlessly clean, and whilst we travelled as a couple, it would also be an excellent choice for families. If you haven't been to Elbow Cay before, then I can't recommend it highly enough. The sea is pristine and turquoise, and the powder white sand beaches were deserted. We hired kayaks which is a great way to get around, and particularly liked the more rugged beaches of the Atlantic coast for walking and swimming. It is also possible to take boat trips and fishing excursions, ad we even saw kite surfers one afternoon. Hope Town is charming, with painted clapper board houses in pinks and blues, and waterfront restaurants on stilts overlooking the harbour and lighthouse. There are enough restaurants and bars to entertain for a week or two without being at all over-developed, and retaining all its colourful local influence. Top tip ... Be sure to have cocktails at 'On da Beach' - just a short walk or golf cart from Abaco Blue, and by far best spot for sundowners on the island. We will definitely be back and I would thoroughly recommend Abaco Blue.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I visited with my son (18) and daughter (21) before the renovations and we all absolutely loved Abaco Blue. It must be stunning now since the renovations. So relaxing and peaceful. A very well appointed house to make your home while staying on this gorgous island. Easy to get to and very accessible to shops and restaurants.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Hopetown:
We fell in love with Hope Town the first time we visited in 2007 and were lucky enough to find Abaco Blue on the last day of house hunting. We were immediately struck by the wonderful waterfront location that gives stunning views from every room. The house has a lovely tropical garden and we enjoy watching the butterflies and birds, especially the hummingbirds and woodpeckers. We use the deck everyday and love to watch the boats pass by.

We have spent the last 6 months refurbishing our home and it has brand new kitchens and bathrooms. It has been upgraded to a very high standard and all of the appliances are new. It is a light, sunny, happy beach house that provides a great base for your Hope Town holiday. We are in a beautiful quiet area but close enough to walk into Hope Town or just take a 5 minute golf cart drive to any of the wonderful beaches. Our community dock is available for you to use and you will enjoy meeting our neighbors.
