Why the Owner Chose Sedona

We chose to buy in Sedona because of the milder climate and spectacular views of the Red Rocks. Additionally, Sedona is close to many vacation destinations in the Southwest. At Del Sol Townhouse, we found a crown jewel- an established community within walking distance of the Verde Valley Medical Center.

The Unique Benefits at this Townhome

Del Sol townhouses, located in west Sedona provide spectacular views of the Red Rocks and are within walking distance of all the amenities of this beautiful city to include a few steps from the public library. This unique location is an easy drive to the Grand Canyon and within a day's drive of other vacation destinations such as Las Vegas, Palm Springs, CA, Hoover Dam, the painted desert and many other places of interest. Because of its higher elevation, the climate at Sedona is nearly perfect. This climate offers a respite for those who want to escape the heat during the summer season. Book ahead for summer 2011!

For movie lovers, Sedona was the filming site of many well known movies. It continues to provide education and interest in the movie industry.

And do not be surprised, while looking out the dining room window, if you see hot air balloons drifting across the Red Rocks! During the summer monsoon season and winter months, the views become even more spectacular!

Owner's Map of Sedona

At Del Sol we experience warmth, friendship and sunshine each day. After living many years in upstate NY, the climate of Sedona is nearly perfect for us. In Sedona we experience the four seasons, with much milder winters than the Adirondacks. We love to hike or take walks in Sedona year round, while at the same time experience winter sports in nearby Flagstaff. We are close to the Grand Canyon and other vacation destinations to include, Jerome, Palm Springs, CA, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, painted desert and many other places.

Home away from home

Date of Stay: 06/11/11 Review Submitted: 07/05/11

Our family took our first vacation to Sedona in June. We have school age boys, and this property was ideal for us because it was close to several hikes, the library was right next door, and we were able to use it as a base for several longer day trips to the Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest, and Granite Dells, knowing we would be returning to a peaceful retreat, fully stocked for all our needs. My husband continued to work from his laptop during this time, and he used the quiet downstairs studio to spread out his materials. My personal favorite, evenings on the patio when I would lay on a lounge chair and pick out the constellations from the millions of stars that are usually invisible to me at my home. A trip to Lowell Observatory in nearby Flagstaff helped me in this. Highly recommend dinner at the Barking Frog Grille, found within walking distance of the townhome.

Paradise

Date of Stay: 11/01/10 Review Submitted: 04/11/11

My husband and I rented the townhouse from 11/1/10 to 03/31/11 to escape MI for the winter. What a fabulous time we had. The townhouse was immaculate, well furnished and had everything we could want or need. We had company several times and they were very impressed with the lower level accommodations. Views were awesome and were even more so the four times we had snow. Excellent area nearby for running, walking and/or hiking. We had a fabulous time sightseeing and visiting all the nearby areas of interest. This was a winter that we will never forget!

Talk about spectacular views - Every morning when I woke up I would look out the window to see how the view had changed. I got some great shots of a snow covered, misty view of Capital Butte. This location is close to many hiking trails, shopping, and restaurants. I stayed for three months and even took an eight week improv class at the local college.

Having never been to Arizona, I was blown away as soon as we drove into Sedona. The landscape is beautiful and there was so much to do. Four of us stayed in this condo. We had plenty of room and enjoyed eating breakfast in the morning and sipping wine at night enjoying the spectacular red rock views on the deck (even in November)!

My husband and I travel full time around the country, and stay in many different vacation homes. By far, this Sedona vacation home is one of the nicest homes we've stayed in. You could not ask for more! The views alone are absolutely breath taking. The house has every thing you could possibly need, and is very spacious for the entire family. Every thing you could need is with in a mile. Of course you can easily get to wonderful places like Jerome and the Grand Canyon in not much time at all. We were there for a month, and the only complaint I have, is that we had to leave. It was a perfect home and a perfect stay in Sedona. This is definitely a home you'll want to stay in.

Owner response:Natala, Your pictures tell the story well of this place and the Red Rocks. Nancy Dawson
