Originally built as the first Methodist Church of Ellicottville in 1850 the house was privately purchased in 1893 and converted to a duplex. Some time in the early 1900's the right side was converted to two apartments 63B and 63C which are rented separately from the left side of the house which is unit 63A described here on VRBO. All 3 units have been completely and lovingly renovated since our purchase of The Mason House in 2002. It has been a weekend gathering place for skiers since the 1930's.
We try hard to provide almost every amenity a weekend visitor could want in a clean, friendly and comfortable environment. Our many repeat guests bear out the fact that The Mason House is a first class vacation rental in a first class vacation town!
There are 2 queen sleeper sofas in the living room and a full bath, kitchen & dining room all on the first floor with seating at the dining room table & kitchen breakfast table for 16. Upstairs are 2 full baths & four bedrooms, one with a queen bed and single sleeper sofa, one with a queen, one with a pyramid bunk and single bunk and one with a pyramid bunk.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mason House very much. We had plenty of space for our family. Our place was clean. It was great to be in walking distance to the center and it was a nice quaint neighborhood. Harry was responsive and helpful from the beginning of our search for a place and throughout our stay. Would rent again the next time we visit.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

Thanks Harry for helping us out on short notice. We all loved the place and the location was great, being on a quiet street but walking distance to the downtown area.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We are very pleased that we chose The Mason House for our stay in Ellicottville! We chose this home because the owner was quick to respond to our inquiries. When we arrived at the unit we found that the accommodations fit our needs perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots/pans and everything else we needed to make a nice meal. The back patio was perfect for an evening outside with comfortable chairs, tables for eating, propane grills and a nice yard. The unit was clean and desirable due to wide-plank wood floors, flat screen TVs, tile bathrooms and neutral decor. We took several quick walks to the downtown area to grab coffee, shop and grab some food. The owners have thought of everything from a small selection of toys for the kids to extra blankets to wifi. The next time we visit the area, we will call The Mason House FIRST!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My friend and I were in town recently for the Columbia Muddy Buddy. We wanted to stay somewhere which was close to the event at Holiday Valley but within walking distance of Ellicotville's main streets with all the restaurants and shops, so we found Mason House. This place is a gem. It was clean, well kept, and updated (huge tv!). The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living room are all very nice. We also appreciated the a/c. The owner is very nice and accomodating. We will bookmark this place and will definetly stay here the next time we are in town!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Couple of nights for golf and fun. Unit C is AWESOME. 2BR, 2 Nice Baths....excellent kitchen totally stocked with every appliance/gadget/unensil you will need and some cool things you aren't expecting. Excellent Sony flat screen with satellite TV and movies. Great decor, all updated, all quality, great layout. Private parking, back patio with woods view and gas and charcoal grills. Super comfortable place to hang out, have meals and relax. Easy walk to restaurants, bars, shopping....so stagger home after JagerBombs at the Gin Mill!!! Can't wait to go back....Thanks Harry....the weather was marginal but everything else was excellent!!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: As a long time Realtor and rental manager in Ellicottville with a wife who has been a restaurant manager for years we have a good idea about what it takes to have a top shelf vacation rental. We both love living in Ellicottville and interacting with the many people who come here for their vacations.
