Why the Owner Chose NemacolinMy condo is in the center of its own glorious world. Within a few minutes, either walking or driving, I am exposed to art and architecture; the best martini I've ever had; a fully equipped state of the art gym and spa; great shopping (that's where I buy most of my presents); prime golf and clay shooting; the most serene snowfalls and autumn foliage; lions, tigers and bears (Oh My!) and a safe and fun-filled environment for kids. It's a paradise.

My husband and I bought our condo when our daughter was eleven years old. It afforded us an opportunity to escape from the city and 'camp out' while still being culturally spoiled. It afforded our family an opportunity to ski, horseback ride, paintball, play tennis and swim. In addition, our daughter had the opportunity to role play 'Eloise at the Plaza', taking the shuttle on her own to any and all new and daring adventures. She experienced so much of life there. From the deck I can still see fragments of the streamers which hung from the trees near the various clubhouses she and her Nemacolin friends built over the years. She is now in her first year of medical school and her play room, still intact, is now for our guests to enjoy, even to write their names and personal notes on its walls as she did (yes, moms and dads, it IS Ok, but only the play room, please). Commitments and obligations now keep me from enjoying the place as I once did but when it's not rented and I am free, I think nothing of taking off at midnight so I can wake up there to all the things that first captivated me, from the wooded terrain to the art, the spa and the food...the place has it all. I love the condo and its memories. I think you will too.

We rented the 2 bedroom condo last weekend and could not have asked for a better experience. Barbara (owner) was so helpful and responsive to all of our questions. The condo and all of its appliances, kitchenware, beds, etc. were clean and in great condition. We didn't have a chance to use anything on the grounds, but it was a perfect location for what we wanted to see (Falling Water and Kentuck Knob). The attention to details like extra towels, bedding, robes, cleaning supplies, shampoo, iron, etc. was much appreciated! We were going to book in a nearby hotel, but I am so happy that I received the VRBO e-mail with a link to this condo.

This condo has it all. We have rented many places and couldn't believe all the amenities Barbara has. We rented both units and it fit our group of 8 perfectly. The kids loved riding the shuttle bus to all their activities. The adults loved the quite surroundings. You don't need to bring much. The condo has everything you have at your own home. We have been visiting Nemacolin for over 10 years and this is our new place to stay. Thank you Barbara for sharing your lovely place.

I wanted a "girls mini" vacation for my teenage daughter and her friends over the Easter break, I contacted Barbra about renting her condo. She got back to me within a few hours to make the arrangements. She provided me with all the information I needed me to plan the perfect "Mini" vacation. Right down to a local grocery store to get supplies! The condo was "AMAZING", beautifully decorated and clean! We had a FANTASTIC time at the resort itself, visiting the shops,spa and pool and had a wonderful dinner at the resturant "AUTUMN". The girls especially liked the resort "shuttle" bus driver (Helen)who they requested to take them around the resort to the various activities. I recommend Barbra's condo for a special adult getaway or a family weekend as the condo is centrally located within all the resort ammenities. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!we had a blast!

My husband and I really enjoy our long weekend stay from Feb. 11 to Feb. 14 (and we didn't even know it was Winterfest Weekend!). We rented the bottom half of the condo and my first thought walking in the door was "I love the decorating." We had so much fun........Friday night at the ski lodge checking out the ice sculpting and listening to a Reggae band, Saturday bowling and playing bubble hockey and spa treatments on Monday. We laughed and laughed as the 13 inches of snow fell that weekend. We starting reciting lines from the movie Ground Hog Day with Bill Murray! Thanks Barbara for making our stay feel like home.

We rented the downstairs 1 bedroom condo for New Year's Eve weekend this year and were very pleased. Barbara was very professional and offered us all of the information we would need for our weekend getaway. The area where the condo is located is beautiful. A stream runs in the back and large stones and foliage surround you. The condos are located very close to the Chauteau and we even took a walk from our condo around the resort. It was so peaceful. Even in the winter, we were pleased with the surroundings! The inside of the condo was very clean. Everything was as pictured and getting in and out was just as Barbara said. The bedding was luxurious and clean. Even the pull-out couch was comfy. Imagine, two children ages 10 and 11 sleeping in until 11 a.m.!! We have already contacted Barbara to make arrangements for another weekend getaway. I cannot wait to return!

We stayed at Barbara's 2 bedroom condo over New Year's weekend. The beds were super comfortable, rooms were clean and the amenities provided (shampoo/conditioner/etc) were a nice touch. As stated by others, the door to door shuttle service was fantastic, though the location of her unit is a short walk to the spa/gym and the adventure center. The resort had a lot of activities (the family teambuilding boat regatta was a highlight) and we took advantage of many. Mystic Mountain had only 3 trails open due to lack of snow, but was perfect for my daughter who was new to skiing. The kids also did the zip line and were thrilled with their "offroad" jeep ride back to the adventure center. As far as restaurants, we liked Autumn the best. Aqueous had potential, but all of our food came out warm, not hot and the service was over the top......our waiter was trying so hard he was off-putting. We took a ride to Ohio Pyle one afternoon to look at the river and had a nice lunch at one of the restaurants in town. Wasn't overly impressed with the Wildside. They bill it as a Dave and Busters type place, but there seemed to be a lot of wasted space - could use more games. Overall had a great trip and would recommend Barbara's condo. All the conveniences of the resort at a more affordable price!

We have stayed at Nemacolin Resort several times in the past fifteen years. Our daughter is currently doing her fellowship at Nemacolin and our visits have become much more frequent. This condo was perfect for our family. My mother decided to travel with us as well as our two younger children and we rented the one bedroom as well as the two bedroom. The interior condo is extremely immaculate and the exterior setting is peaceful and secluded! Our daughter brought her “chef” friends over for dinner and we entertained a total of 10 people. Barbara could not have been more kind or helpful. We plan on returning as much as possible!

My wife and I recently spent a terrific fall weekend at Barbara's 1BR condo (downstairs from the main unit). Barbara was prompt and helpful at every turn - instructions were always clear, correspondence was timely, and the deposit check was returned quickly. The unit was just the right size for the two of us, well-appointed and comfortable, and made for an ideal home base for the weekend. The Nemacolin shuttle service was incredibly convenient, picking us up right in front of the unit and taking us to dinner (Aqueous is a MUST). The resort has plenty to offer, but we took advantage of other area attractions, from tours of Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob to a great hike along Meadow Run in Ohiopyle State Park and lunch along the Youghiogheny River. With the forest ablaze in color, we couldn't have asked for a better fall weekend escape. And again, Barbara's condo was an ideal home base for it all. We hope to return someday.

We had two couples and the condo was perfect. All descriptions accurate, Barbara was very helpful with advice on arrangements and local knowledge (it was our first time at Nemacolin). The condo was well-appointed and very, very clean. Easy walk to the main hotel/lodge and the outdoor center/ski area, and location of the unit was towards the end of the cluster, so pretty quiet even on a busy weekend. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful townhome. Barbara was so helpful and my deposit was returned quickly. I have 4 small children who loved the playroom, and enjoyed all the amenities at the resort. We did so much all weekend including rock climbing, hiking, swimming, paintball, miniature golf, bowling, and even utilized the large fire pit in front of the chalet. We felt like we had the resort to ourselves as we seldom encountered anyone else all weekend. The townhome was perfect for us, I woke extra early and went for a run to the spa to do yoga and get massages before anyone else was awake. The location is perfect, and an easy, scenic walk to both the spa/hotel and the outdoor activity area. We will definately be returning!
