  We rented this house for a week and the house itself was outstanding. Weather was great too. Had a few questions upon arrival and called the number that was provided by Wendy and husband James. Never got a response. Also had an electrical issue with both outside plugs (my husband got shocked when trying to plug in the boom box) called both Wendy and James, never got a response. So we turned off the breaker to outside plugs. Hopefully they will read this and fix the electrical problem so that no one else gets seriously injured!

  We had a blast relaxing, playing kick ball and hanging out on the porch! Very nice, lots of space and right on the beach!!!!! Great for a family getaways or even a group get together! Lots of sleeping space for multiple families! The bunk room was GREAT for the kids....after a long day of playing, they were able to have a 'slumber party' with all the girls in one room!!! Will be go back soon!!!!!!!

  First visit to Surfside during off-season. House was great. We slept 6 adults and 4 kids with many beds to spare. Great layout. Large pantry in the kitchen. Kitchen was very well stocked. 2 bedrooms & bath upstairs, and 2 bedrooms and bath downstairs. Large deck and wooden ramp to beach. Ideal location on the beach. Thanksgiving week and the beach was mostly empty, but the weather was fantastic. Warm days and cool nights. Only complaint - the dryer doesn't dry very well, making it very difficult to dry loads of towels. Recommend visiting the jetty to view dolphins - multitudes of dolphins! Highly recommend this house.

  Thank you very much for the awesome family vacation for our children and our kid wrangler. My husband and I had a wonderful time in your home. It was super to cook in, just the perfect size and well maintained. We also appreciated the rapid response to the problem with the washer, and the new one was superb!!!! All the ammenities were beautiful and in great shape. I loved the color scheme and the fact it was laid out nicely. I hope we can come again next year!

  The house was very nice, but 1 bedroom too small. Still new so needs some additional work done such as doing concrete or gravel downstairs. Owners were responsive to questions. Would rent again if a little larger.

  We recently stayed in this beautiful beach house - I don't think the interior photos do it justice. Well equipped kitchen - all the pans, utensils, and dishes you could possibly need. The deck was wonderful for reading a book and enjoying the sounds of the waves. Each night we build a bonfire by the beach and had smores and chased the little crabs - the kids loved it!! I recommend scheduling an early morning horseback ride with Beach Bum Horserides - we surprised the kids with this treat and it was a highlight of the vacation! I was disappointed by the amount of trash on the beach every morning, but we grabbed a bag and walked and cleaned - it was good for the kids to learn about why we recycle and about leaving the beach cleaner than you found it. Overall wonderful experience - wifi service would have been nice, but 3G worked well enough to get by. Highly recommend not only Surfside but this fabulous house, the owner was wonderful to work with and very quick to reply to questions.

  We had a wonderful time. The house was well equipped and each family member had their own comfortable bed. The open floor plan allowed for lots of visiting, shared cooking, and game playing. The extra large deck offered a beautiful view of the beach and waves. This house will definitely be at the top of our list for future rentals.

  The house was great. The location was great. The clean up was a pain and almost not possible by 11am if you wash all of the sheets/covers on all of the beds. I will absolutely rent this house again, but I'll be spending a little extra for a house cleaner on craigslist. There's a group of retired guys that show up to fish on the beach every day around daylight and they are more than happy to give free fishing tips. You can find deep sea fishing guides with very little effort in this area. Good experience.

  Owner response: We have been working for a long time to find a way to make our renters' stays more enjoyable...especially when checking out. We have recently revised our linens policy so that renters need only wash towels. The sheets will be laundered by the cleaning crew. We hope this will help lower the stress level and amount of cleaning up our renters need to do by check-out time. No one enjoys having to wake up at the crack of dawn on your last day of vacation! Unless it's to watch the beautiful sunrise on the porch of course.

  I have vacationed in Surfside Beach for the past 7 years, and the last 2 years have been at this house. It is located in a very quite subdivision, and it's perfect for families with young kids. The house is very new and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could want. It has a great open floor plan and it's just a few steps from the water. I hope to return again next year. The homeowner is very responsive and friendly. We had a minor maintenance issue during our last stay and she was quick to respond and take care of us. A+ service and a great house! It was a great experience and I look forward to returning again.
