When we first saw the pictures of this vacation home and read the reviews, it sounded too good to be true. It wasn't! It was exactly as the listing said and even better. It was a clean, comfortable house and it was so convenient to everything. We could walk to the beach and boardwalk and took advantage of the tot lot, as we had children with us. We fed the turtles and watched all the birds that visited the lake. We really enjoyed eating on the large deck. I can't think of a thing that would have made our stay any better. We would certainly recommend this property to others, and already have.

We're planning our fourth visit to this delightful cottage in Sept 2013. The cottage is spotless, well appointed, and comfortable. We've made it a traditional September getaway and have enjoyed the house, the location, the wildlife, the quiet, and the beaches on every visit. Whatever your interest, you'll discover it in Rehoboth. Owners are great and very easy to work with.

Exceptional Rental Property!
Exceptional Rental Property!
This house has amazed us once again! So clean and comfortable it is truly a home away from home. Anything you need is available. This is truly a magical place for my family. When you step out on the deck you will always be surprised by some sort of wildlife. This year we saw Deer, Fox, a toast stealing Cat Bird, Raccoon, and of course Bill's turtle and all his friends. We watched a small turtle lay her eggs on the corner of the lower deck. The house is Child friendly which makes life so much easier when you have small children, the deck has the perfect Child proof gate. The location is ideal with the "Tot Lot" playground and Turtle bridge just steps away, The beach is a bit further, a 10 minute walk but still not too bad. The Owner and Coldwell Banker are always easy to work with and accommodating to every request. Thanks again for another wonderful Vacation experience!

Nice clean place!
Nice clean place!
Just a note say how much we enjoyed the Stockley beach house. Enjoyed all the accommodations, beds were comfy, location great, nice and clean. Owner is very easy to work with and promptly answered our questions. It is managed through Caldwell Banker; they had a great, smooth, easy check-in and check-out process. The house is a bit of a walk to the beach; 3.5 long blocks. Walked back from the fireworks on July 4 with no problem at all. Bought a week parking pass ($45) from the city, so could park closer to the beach. That helped a lot on the hottest days. Easily walkable to restaurants in Rehoboth. So many great ones to chose from! Check out the farmer's market on Tuesday afternoons. Yumm!

Owner response: Love getting these great reviews... Thank you for the observations regarding how much you "enjoyed all the acommodations" and how "comfy, location great, nice and clean, and easily walkable to restaurants in Rehoboth" you found the cottage to be. I am also appreciative of how smoothly you thought the check-in & check-out processes were and that you found the "owner is very easy to work with & promptly answered our questions". As you've already denoted, our mantra is... "Cottage comforts await you" and, "We aim to please"! Since the cottage is centrally located in Rehoboth Beach, our guests love being able to walk everywhere in the city and for those who have little people the Tot Lot, which is only a few hundred ft. from the property, has been a big hit! And, for all of the dog walkers, they've enjoyed walking "man's best friend" along Silver Lake while enjoying the scenic views along the way. A tip for those beach-goers is to ride your bikes and secure them on the beach racks provided at the end of the street on the boardwalk. Another idea is to drop off the gang at the beach and find a pkg spot (South RB is unmetered, but don't forget a pkg pass). For everyone's convenience, there is also a beach shack where umbrellas and chairs are available on a daily or weekly basis with set-up included in the rate. Again, thanks for the great review and we look forward to another future stay; however please note that we only have one week available in 2012 (9/29-10/06), and due to popular demand we've already begun a roster of reservations for 2013. So, here's to the Summer of 2013! Until then, best regards and your health to enjoy... Diane
Best Place in Rehoboth!
Best Place in Rehoboth!
This was by far the best rental we have experienced! The description does not even begin to describe the amenities at this home. If you need anything at all you will find it there. The house was extremely clean and comfortable, when you walk in you feel immediately at home. We would have been happy sitting on the deck for our entire vacation, it was beautiful and kid friendly! Not to mention the "wild kingdom" in the lake that offered hours of entertainment between the fish, turtles, and birds there was never a dull moment.

Owner response: Thank you for posting your guest review as the 'BEST PLACE IN REHOBOTH'. I am delighted that you and your family immediately felt so comfortable and "at home" (our goal), and that you enjoyed this lakeside respit so much that you "would have been happy sitting on the deck for the entire vacation"! We look forward to your return and I'm sure that "Bill's Turtle" is missing your treats already! Here's to next time!

My family and I had a wonderful time at your cottage! Any accommodation we needed was there for us. The access to both the beach and the lake was fantastic - it really was a perfect getaway. My daughter especially enjoyed feeding the turtles - they greeted us every evening by the lake. Thank you for opening your home to our family. Your cottage allowed us to enjoy all the beauties of Rehoboth Beach that we will now keep as memories.

Loved the cottage, lake and beach.
Loved the cottage, lake and beach.
The location was great, on the lake with a short walk to the beach and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We were in town for an 11U baseball tournament and brought the whole family. My older sons enjoyed kayaking on the lake as well as playing in the surf at the beach while my wife and I sat in the hot sun watching baseball (the central air was much appreciated on our return to the cottage). The property met all our needs plus our 4 boys, ages ranging from 18 to 11. Just a short walk away was the beach, boardwalk and the main street (Rehoboth Ave) with plenty of shops and restaurants (5 Guys Burgers and Fries was a favorite). The 6 of us fit comfortably in the cottage. The owners were very informative and very accommodating. If we’re in the area we will definitely stay here again.

Hi Diane, We loved your home. Everything was very clean and neat. The house had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. Our friends and us were very comfortable and spent a lot of time viewing the turtles and catfish. That was fun to see. We also loved the Easter decorations on the table and counter. It was a nice touch. The only thing that we missed, just a little, was a barbeque. We didn't eat in except for 1 dinner so it didn't matter, but maybe in the summer it would be nice to have. We look forward to coming again, and would have if you had something available this summer. But since you are booked, we will probably be back next spring! Thank you for a wonderful place to relax and feel at home. We are looking forward to coming back! Michael and Janet

Owner response: Michael & Janet: Thank you so much for your exceptionally kind review. I am so pleased that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay in our lakefront cottage and found it to be so comfortable and 'beautifully decorated' and that Silver Lake provided so much entertainment... Certainly one of the side benefits of this 'home'! I think the grill is a grand idea and as a matter of fact, I was already looking at one shortly before you made your suggestion... So, before our next guest arrives and you return, we'll already have one set up. BTW: Please don't wait until next year to make another reservation. Even though we're solidly reserved between the end of June & the 3rd week in September, I hope you will consider the weeks/days that we still have available in May and June and you also may want to consider a visit in autumn, when the foliage is mirrored in the lake and puts on an amazing display or perhaps around the holidays when Rehoboth Beach is as festive as ever and shopping can't be beat! Oh, and I forgot to mention, when rates are LOW, LOW, LOW! Thanks again for choosing our lakefront bungalow, where cottage comforts await your arrival! All the Best, Diane
Diane, I hesitate in writing a rewiew because I hate to let the secret out of the bag. I felt at home at once - everything was super clean and welcoming. The location is so convenient, walk a few blocks one direction and you are at the boardwalk, a few the other and you are on Rehobeth Ave. with shops and restraunts. I even walked into Dewey one day. But truthfully it was hard to make myself leave the deck which overlooks the tip of Silver Lake and was just beautiful with geese, ducks, turtles and blue heron. I look forward to many returns. All the Best, Stephanie

Guest comment entered by owner
Diane: We loved staying at your cottage! The great blue heron, snowing egret, turtles and LARGE fish kept us entertained every morning. Despite the weather we made it to the beach every day except one. We were of course thrilled to have Saturday at the beach with our extra day and were so glad it was available. I kept commenting on how well stocked the kitchen was every time we made a meal - since we have a one year old and four year old, we didn't venture out with our tired beach babies for meals. We're talking about renting in the Spring - April or May - and I was going to contact you regarding rates for that time of year. It was a wonderful vacation for us and very comfortable. Your home is impeccably maintained and was super clean. It was fun to come in with all the Halloween decorations. Our 4 year old especially liked the pumpkin lantern hanging from the dining room table and turned it on at each meal. Thank you for a great vacation place - we felt right at home! Erica
