This was the first time away for the Thanksgiving holiday. My little family wanted to do something different. We decided on renting this cabin and skiing up at Targhee. Let's just say we weren't disappointed. This was a great cabin and the price made it that much better.

Where do I begin...
Where do I begin...
Just as stated in the previous review, it is very strange to walk into a home with family pictures everywhere & clothes in the closets. I felt as though someone was going to come 'home' at any moment. This house does NOT have wifi as stated in the description. I notified Claudia about this and she said to sit in the bay window. Once I did, I had 1 bar (trying to get a signal from the barn?). I was not about to sit on a bar stool in the window to get work done. We had 2 days (out of 3) of cold showers. 2nd floor does not have window treatments. We had to find sheets to cover the windows up. We came back to the rental one day to find people in the barn using foul language loudly (right in front of our kids). We rushed everyone inside quickly. It's posted not to lock the doors when you leave. What?! we have valuables?! and the people in the barn using foul language can use waltz in anytime they want. The couch down stairs was missing to our of 4 legs on the couch, which made it very awkward to sit down. I would NOT recommend this rental to anyone I know.

Nice House but Unusual Situation
Nice House but Unusual Situation
The house is great but when we arrived we quickly discovered that the family that owns and rents the house is in a family dispute. It was a bit odd to walk in and see all of the family photos on the walls and the pets in the yard. The estranged husband lives in the barn immediately next door to the house. So if your looking for a great house to stay in with a "this is an unusual" vibe, I'd recommend it. But it would have been nice if Claudia had given us a heads up about the other stuff going on. If a family had young kids, explaining why the guy lives out in the barn would be a topic that you probably don't want to deal with. I guess you could say "It's none of your business" but when you are doing business with a home rental, maybe it would be appropriate to tell the whole story?

Owner response: Hello My future guest, In spite what life has in-store for us can be confusing. I'm happy to hear about all the positive reviews who has enjoyed this lovely home. There should be no confusion about any visit. DeVel is home owner of this property and goes out of his way to make sure guest will be content during their visit. "the Barn" is a 2 bedroom 2 bath and kitchen home with attached garage. We are happy to have DeVel residing next door to see the guest are not bringing in pets that's not mentioned during their booking process or leaving windows open during high winds that's mentioned to the guest to shut when departing anytime from the home or if the guest lock them selves out. I manage 14 vacation homes and I'm thankful to have DeVel residing next door to help out on accommodating the guests that book this spacious, lovely home. Safe Travels, Many thanks; my best. Outstanding location, facilities and service!
Outstanding location, facilities and service!
Our stay at this property was nothing short of outstanding! The home is located close enough to access a wide variety of destinations - Yellowstone (West and South), the Tetons, Jackson Hole and the towns of Victor and Driggs. The home was in excellent shape (every bit as advertised) and the family thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. We had 9 people who stayed (4 different parties) and all were happy with the amount of space / privacy offered. The property owner (De Vel) was great to work with. Our children absolutely loved having the chance to pet his horses and dogs during our stay - very friendly and intelligent animals. Alot can go wrong when you spend a week with 4 parties in one location away from home - but on this one, everything went right. The location, facilities and service made this Yellowstone vacation hands down our best vacation yet. I would highly recommend staying at this home - and also recommend that you stay for at least 5 days to enjoy all that the area has to offer.

What a ride!
What a ride!
Our stay in the Teeton valley and this home was nothing short of amazing! A bunch of us guys do a motorcycle ride across America when we can and Yellowstone & Teeton Nation Parks was our destination this year. This house was spacious, quiet and nature filled from sun up to sundown. The owners greeted us upon arrival and bid us a fond farwell when departing. They shared what life is like in the area and really brought out the best in the area. All the small towns and smooth roads to see the majestic area made our journey one to remember. If you want to see the great west and experience Yellowstone, the Teetons, Mesa Falls and all the area has to offer, this home will serve you well. Thanks to the property owners for the hospitality. We enjoyed all of it. The house made our stay very relaxing and laid back. We look forward to coming back some day to take more of it in.

Incredibly roomy and clean!
Incredibly roomy and clean!
This is the perfect home for large families, two families or families who need a little space. Two separate living areas with a large kitchen fully stocked. Clean and the beds were comfy. We skied at Grand Targhee and the snow/mountain was awesome! This home is very close to the shuttle, so my husband didn't have to drive up the hill to the mountain. One day there was a blizzard and my husband couldn't pick us up from the shuttle stop, so DeVell came in his truck! Claudia always answered questions promptly via email and was there to greet us when we arrived. Driggs is a small community, so plan on cooking in. Shop before you get there although there is a very nice grocery downtown. Beautiful area would love to go back in the summer-so close to Jackson without the cost.

My family enjoyed our stay in your house. The house was very comfortable and cozy. The fireplace in the main living room was wonderful. I would like to stay there again. Everyone had their own privacy the way the house is arranged. It worked out perfect for a group of adults. I would highly reccommed this house as a place to stay for a family. Thanks, Gayle
