Fox Creek Cabin in the Woods

Bedrooms Studio
Space 320 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Beautiful Cabin overlooking Teton Valley

This super cute cabin with high end finishing is a great getaway during any season. Quiet and secluded, yet close to all the Teton Valley attractions (less than 2 miles from Hwy 33). Wonderful views and sunsets from the wrap-around deck. Cabin is situated on 10 wooded acres with Fox Creek running through the property, hiking trails around the property and direct access to the National Forest. Very private, cozy location with great wildlife viewing.

Great home base for all your adventures in Teton Valley and beyond. Awesome hiking, snowshoeing and antler hunting right out the front door. On site huckleberry patch in the summer (you'll have to find it's secret spot though!)

Large propane freestanding stove heats the cabin up very quickly and is wonderful after a days skiing or during the cool evenings. Loft bedroom with a full size bed, small couch on the main level pulls out for additional sleeping space for a guest or child. The cabin is quite small though, so it is most appropriately sized for maximum of 2 adults and a small child. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom with a tub and shower.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend of skiing at Grand Targhee. The cabin was the perfect place for us. Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and romantic. I highly recommend staying here!

A peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

Nicely appointed and clean cabin with a well furnished kitchen. A peaceful setting convenient to restaurants and Grand Tetons National Park. We were lucky to have two moose visit during our stay.

Cute cabin with all the necessities

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. We took day trips to Grand Targhee and Jackson and biked through Grand Teton National Park and came back to a cozy place to play games and cook dinner. Sad to leave, but hope to be back!

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

Property was exactly as described. Quiet and secluded at the end of the road, beautiful views of the valley. The cabin had everything we needed and the wrap around porch was wonderful in the evenings for sunset.

Cozy & cold

  • 3 of 5

This was our second time staying at the cabin. We loved it the first time, this second one was tougher. Our struggles: nothing non-stick to cook in, thermoregulation issues (hot as Hades, or cold as an icebox-don't set your coffee down on the counter), couldn't get the cooking stove to turn on, one tea towel for dishes/hands, and we needed a tutorial on how to turn the bedroom light off. What we love: the quietude, cozy, off-the-beaten path, critter tracks all over, and very comfortable for two people.

PERFECT little getaway gem

  • 5 of 5

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 dogs (one big, one little) so we were a touch concerned about space. We're very accustomed to small quarters since the three of us often share tents and much smaller living quarters, so with two of us upstairs in the bed and one down on the pullout twin couch, we were just fine. The kitchen is pretty stocked for the basic pots and pans, but if you want anything specialized, bring it with (our cast iron pans travel with us almost everywhere). The stairs were a little narrow and steep for the larger dog, so him getting down was an adventure every time. This cabin was extremely warm despite the 10degree weather outside and we had a FANTASTIC time cooking, laughing, and playing games after a day on the slopes. If we head this way again, we'll definitely be booking this cabin

First impression: quiet and remote... just what I needed after a long writing workshop in Jackson.

  • 3 of 5

A little scary arriving later in day and being a single woman in a remote area, but once I came to grips with that.....

Lovely little cabin for seclusion. Owners had all the amenities one might want.

Two problems they might consider dealing with:

1. The place could have been cleaner as far as windows and dead insects go.

2. They should address the fly and moth issue.

The flies got to me. Drove me nuts. Thank God for fly swatter. Was swatting flies constantly. And these were there to welcome me! I kept doors and windows closed so flying insects would not keep coming in, but owners really should have rid the place of them prior to my arrival. Trying to read in bed and being buzzed by flies was not the most enjoyable experience. If flies are a problem in the woods, the owner really should consider fly paper traps, etc to help stem the problem.
