Fabulous shingle style house overlooking Long Island Sound and the CT River. The view is 270 degrees and fabulous. Why pay Hampton's prices? The dock provides access to the Connecticut River or Long Island Sound for boating. You can use the canoes and kayaks. You wake up to views of two light houses and lots of birds.
It has beach rights at a beautiful uncrowded beach. It is near town and has easy access to the highway. It is only four miles from the New York train so friends can visit without cars. The garden is large and level perfect for croquet or soccer games. We have a great hottub, a canoe and bikes at the house. This is the way the Hamptons used to be. Why pay Hampton's prices when you can have it all here and much more.
This part of Connecticut is incredibly full of things to do. In addition to golf, tennis, boating and fishing we have the casinos, Mystic, Essex, art museums and galleries, Summer Music, 4 summer theatres including the Goodspeed opera house and many others.

This is our vacation house and we share it for a few weeks in the sumer and pretty much all winter. The hosue is so great because it has beautiful views that can be enjoyed ofmr all the rooms. It is a wonderful town with activities all summer and it is close to NY and boston and easily accessible fomr the trains.
Why the Owner Chose Old Lyme
The location of this house is great because it is very private and yet is 2 miles from the highway or the Amtrak train to NY or Boston so it is really easy for visitors. WE truly have an amazing view and never tire of wathing the birds and the water. The fising is also very good. Our gardens are full of lowers and fruit so almost any time you come there is something fresh.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Most guests at the house stay here without leaving as it is so pleasant. however, the area is full of theatres, live music great restaurants and cultural depth. The hottub and swimming off the dock even sems to keep teenagers busy.

We are regular Thanksgiving renters and we always have a wonderful experience. The house is spacious and luxurious. There is so much to see and do. Canoeing in the Connecticut River is a great adventure, where wild life abounds. The panoramic view from the house is glorious. Truly, God paints this landscape daily. At dusk, the multicolored evening sky can be enjoyed from the hot tub. This house is a must rent for any vacationer looking to get away from the hectic pace of city life.

WE are having a wedding at the house this wekend and it lookslike it accommodates this sort of small event beautifully. There are two families of about 25 people and 20 of them are in the house.
