Timber Moose sits on 12 private acres in the Utah mountains with commanding 360° views. The lodge includes 9,000 square feet of outdoor decks and balconies, a large indoor swimming pool, a sauna, 13 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms including a men's room and women's room, a Crows Nest viewing room 50 feet above ground, and a 2200 square foot Grand Room with high vaulted ceilings that can accommodate 96 in banquet seating.
The lodge is perfect for corporate retreats, family reunions or private weddings, with so much room inside and out that people can explore or play or sing or cook together, or burrow separately into the many sitting areas with a book, or relax on one of the seven balconies with a friend and a pair of binoculars.

What a place! The word that I heard over and over describing Timber Moose during our stay was unbelievable. We had a group of 20 people for a community group retreat/ ski / snowmobile trip. The home was perfect for this. There was ample space for group activities along with several other living spaces for people to gather. The access to Deer Valley ski area was outstanding. It is about a 25 minute drive to the Jordanelle lift. This is the best access to the mountain. A van picks you up at the car and drops you steps from the ticket window/ gondola entrance. The snowmobiling is amazing. You drive down the driveway and right onto the trails leading to the US Forest land. The terrain is great for all levels of riders. The overall experience we shared as a group was great. We started planning next years trip before this trip was over. Thanks for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Paul, we're so glad your group had a nice time, and we'd love to have you come again!

Wow what fun!!! We just had a family reunion at your beautiful fabulous lodge-cabin. I am not sure cabin-lodge describes this unique spacious resort. We have 6 children with 28 grand children and each family had luxury suits. many bedrooms had in-room kitchens, jacuzzi type tub, flat screen TV's. Our room had a vaulted ceiling, sky-lights, private balcony, our own fireplace, couch and chairs. Most of the beds are made out of rustic lodge pine with handcrafted dressers. The huge indoor swimming pool was wonderful. The place can not be beat! The main kitchen was large enough for our whole family and some. We would not hesitate using this wonderful lodge again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

About the owner: We're the Evans family. We have a large family ourselves and bought Timber Moose to spend time with each other. We live in Salt Lake Valley.
Why the Owner Chose Heber City:
We love the mountains and woods, and were looking for a large cabin that would give our big family lots of opportunities to be together. Timber Moose was perfect!
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
This is property is unique in every way -- it is the largest log cabin in the United States and the only cabin we've seen with an indoor pool and beds for 50. And importantly for us, it's close to home: only 50 minutes from Salt Lake City or Provo.
