Enjoy our luxurious "barely lived in" cabin on your next vacation! The cabin is set into a hillside with a wrap around deck and brand new hot tub that has sweeping views of the ski area and Byers Peak.
It is as luxurious and as comfortable as our main residence so that when we have a chance to get away we feel like we are completely at home. We have just undergone an extensive remodel of the main living areas and kitchen.
From the 1 car HEATED garage you enter into a slate floor mud room. There are plenty of places to leave your winter gear and a full laundry. The bunkroom is on this level with two triple stacker bunk beds so the room sleeps six in beds. There is room for kids to play as well as toys, games, movies and a flat screen satellite TV, DVD & TIVO for entertainment.
Up the stairs you enter into our main living area and are welcomed with views of Byers Peak, the Winter Park ski hill, and the Continental Divide. There is attention to every detail from the Hickory wood floors, to the Satellite LCD TV and TIVO, gas fireplace and granite counter tops. 2 sets of patio doors beckon you to the wrap around deck for a late afternoon drink at sunset. The kitchen is equipped with Calphalon non-stick cookware, Chicago Cutlery Knives, GE stainless steel appliances, and all the condiments a cook would need for any meal. Our dining area has bench and chair seating for all your guests. Our master suite with King bed is on this level with fabulous views of Byers Peak from the sitting area. It has a full bath with double vanities, oval soaking tub and separate shower.
Climb another set of stairs (at 9500 feet altitude) and you will find the second master suite with King bed and Full bath. This suite also has LCD satellite TV . Included on this level there is a loft area with wireless internet, just in case you are one of us who has to work while on vacation.
We are one mile from downtown Winter Park and about a five to eight minute drive from the ski area. We border on the Arapahoe National Forest with hiking/mountain biking/snowshoeing access just a few blocks away.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We bought in Winter Park becasue of Jeff's past experience and our love of the mountains. I grew up in the Rockies in Canada and still love to ski and moutain bike. The best part about it is being able to teach our son about all that we love to do in the outdoors.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
In winter we like to ski, tube, snowmobile, sled and hot tub. In summer our favorites are mountain biking, hiking, spending a day at the hill and fishing!!!

When Jeff lived on the Front Range he spent a lot of time in Winter Park and in Rocky Mountain National Park. He is a die hard fly fisherman and we all enjoy everything that Winter Park has to offer in the summer and the winter.

We loved the house! My children wish we could come back next year to the same house. Aside from its perfectly wonderful decor and ample beds and stocked kitchen and all the practical reasons that make a vacation easy, THERE ARE SLEDS IN THE GARAGE AND A HILL RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR. That is it! It was the hill and the sleds that put this ski vacation over the top for our four boys. Yes, they liked the skiing on the mountain, but they couldn't wait to get back to the house to do what they called "extreme sledding." And the adults were happy to just let them sled to their hearts' content while we stayed warm inside our luxurious and cozy house. And when we were in the hot tub we could watch them sled. That was fun for all of us!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

We had a wonderful time and the place is great! With the fire, the hottub and the snow, how could you go wrong? And there was everything there that you could possibly want or need. We will be back!
