When our family has the chance to get away from the everyday "hustle and bustle," to what we consider Paradise, we love to relax and unwind in the comfort of this beautiful three bedroom bungalow. Located at Martinique on the Gulf, our home is only minutes away from the many resort amenities and the Gulf beach. The resort itself is located on Fort Morgan Road, 11 miles from Gulf Shores and adjacent to the 4200 acre Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge.
Martinique is a classic French-Caribbean style beach community with beautifully landscaped grounds including gazebos, walkways, and boardwalks to the beach. What a great place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the nature preserve and one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the northern Gulf Coast. Enjoy a game of tennis, work out in the fitness center, or lay out by one of two community pools.
One of the pools has an indoor section for cooler weather. You can also relax in one of the hot tubs or the sauna. No matter what you choose to do within the community, you have no major road to cross. Our golf cart is a great, fun way to get where you want to go. There is also a trolley that runs throughout the resort very frequently.
There are many other things to enjoy that are just a short drive away. They include historic Fort Morgan, ferry boat to Dauphin Island, Bellingrath Gardens, or the USS Alabama in Mobile. One of the south's largest outlet malls is in Foley with over 120 stores. There are more restaurants to choose from than you could eat at in a month.
There is an amusement park and several miniature golf courses in the area, not to mention the abundance of gift and specialty stores. If you enjoy golf, you will love this area with 16 of the South's finest public courses. Deep-sea fishing, jet-ski rentals, and parasailing are all available nearby.
The overall decor of Aloha Dream is casually sophisticated, with a color scheme of yellows, green, and terra-cotta, and a theme of palm trees and pineapples throughout. With 1800 square feet and ten foot ceilings, the floor plan is open and inviting.
The fully-appointed kitchen features granite countertops, a smooth-top range, microwave oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator with ice-maker. We have tried to include as much cookware and dinnerware as possible to make dining in easy and enjoyable. The living room has an entertainment center with a large HIGH DEF TV, VCR/DVD combo, and a stereo. A Pak N Play & high chair are also provided.
The master bedroom has a very comfortable King-size bed and also features a large TV and DVD player. The master bathroom is large, with a double vanity, a garden tub, and a separate, glass-enclosed shower. A large walk-in closet completes the suite. The second bedroom also has a King-size bed while the third bedroom has a Queen. Both have TVs and one has a Sega Genesis game system.
You can access the large screened-in porch from the living room, master bedroom, or the second bedroom.
There is a large laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. The garage holds the golf cart, two adult bikes, and a gas grill and beach/pool toys. The indoor/outdoor pool is very close-by - less than a two minute walk. The boardwalk to the beach and the gulf-side pool are two minutes by golf cart.

Staying at "Aloha Dream" was like enjoying a beach house of my own. Martinique is a beautiful resort with many amenities and "Aloha Dream" included lovely furnishings and a warm, inviting environment created by the Browns. "Aloha Dream" included internet access and cable tv and felt like being at home but better because it is at the beach!! Breakfast on the screened porch was a perfect way to begin each beautiful day on the gulf. The short walk or golf cart ride to the beach made the week extremely enjoyable and relaxing -- no fighting for space on the beach or waiting for a parking spot. Also, the pools in Martinique are convenient and delightful. There are a number of fabulous restaurants and shopping areas close by in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores and the National Shrimp Festival was a lot of fun. I would recommend "Aloha Dream" to anyone looking to enjoy a trip to the gulf coast.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Phil and Lois, Your place was spectacular. Atmosphere is important to us and my family and I had a great time enjoying the extravagant interior space, the proximity to the beach and the tropical setting. We particularly enoyed having more than enough room to relax in, and the resort setting was striking. Having the large amount of remote beach space dedicated to private conservation made the walks along the beach very enjoyable. I was particularly surpised at how many large seashells the beach offered. We would recommend your place to anyone who wants an upscale environment to relax in with a tropical setting full of peace and quiet. Jeff Combs and family
