"This home perfect in every way. Spacious, private, wide open, impeccably kept and luxurious. I went with my wife, my two adult children, and my grandson. We never wanted to leave. The yard and pool is like a luxury hotel, we were hard pressed to even go to the beach. It is a unique property that made us feel at home immediately. There are big farm tables everywhere, easily accommodated all of us for meals. We spent most of our time on the lake facing porch for dinner every night, as the sunset view was amazing. We wish we could live there. I would recommend this house to any family looking for a special getaway."

"The unit is terrific and the resort has terrific amenities. The owner is kind, fair, and reasonable. I have rented from her for several summers and I plan on doing so again."

  • Location, Location, Location...to the beach!

"This was our first time renting a cottage in Montauk as opposed to staying in a hotel. We went with another couple and wanted a place with our own bedrooms with a comfortable common area so that we could eat, hang out and talk and this cottage met the criteria. It was also a short walk to the beach and very secluded from the main road. Alison was there to meet us when we got there and was very helpful with any questions or additional needs that we had. It was clean and quaintly decorated. From what I am told, a lot of the cottages built for only summer use in the similar price range are on the older side, with a rustic feel, and dank smell to them, as was this one. There were 2 bedrooms. The master had a comfortable king size bed, high ceilings and big windows that let in the early light. There were no room darkening shades. So, if you are able to sleep in a fully brightened room it shouldn’t be a problem. There was also a nest or 2 of baby birds living under the roof. Not sure when they leave the nest for good but they tended to get up and started chirping around sunrise (5am) which made sleeping soundly after 5am in the master bedroom a little challenging. The other bedroom was smaller (b/ still a good size) with only 1 window and shades that blocked out the sun. I know that a lot of people prefer a firm/hard mattress but I would consider bringing a foam mattress topper for additional comfort. The kitchen had all the amenities that we needed for our stay and the living room area was very inviting and comfortable. One last thing that didn’t take away from the amazing time we had but did prove to be a bit of an annoyance was the amount of flies that were in the house. When the windows were left open to take advantage of the fresh air/breezes, it appeared that they came in though the small holes in the screens. Needless to say, the fly swatter came in very handy "
