Fully equipped and beautifully furnished, modern beach home in "The Rookery" at Litchfield By The Sea, which is the premier private resort in Pawleys Island, SC. Our home features all the creature comforts you need to have a perfect vacation.Our home has all of the upscale features , you would expect, granite countertops ,hardwood floors, California tile floors and has been professionally decorated in a light, airy beach motif. LBTS is a private ,gated beach resort which caters to families.
Our home, called "Carolina Dreamin', is in a community that features seaborne breezes and splendid ocean and lake views.[ Not OCEANFRONT] It is approximately 150 yards from the Ocean {or a 2 1/2 minute walk to the beach}. It has rocking chairs on some of it's porches, deck and lounge chairs on its top deck The 'Eagles Nest'. Our resort community offers 7 free lighted tennis courts ,a swimming pool [40 seconds walk], jogging and bike paths, and great fishing and crabbing. Two major grocery stores,a Blockbuster and a number of terrific restaurants are less than a half mile away. In the resort there is Starbucks as well as a great Day Spa.
You are a short walk away to the Health and Fitness Spa [ fees ], Starbucks and Webster's Tavern/Restaurant . The walk to the beach is 2 1/2 minutes. Our home is a NON-smoking home, and, unfortunately, pets are NOT allowed because of severe allergies of the owners. This is extremely important to us , thank you !! Our community is a family-oriented one, that has as its major attraction, a wonderful, warm, wide, 8 mile long, wide beach, as well as the ambiance of the greater Pawleys Island area and its great restaurants and quaint shops.
You are 25 minutes away from Myrtle Beach and all that MB has to offer. There are 8 terrific, golf courses within 5 miles of our home. Murrells Inlet, 6 miles to the north, is the the Seafood Capital of SC and offers Deep Sea Fishing, parasailing jet ski rentals and over 40 great restaurants. Georgetown, 14 miles south, is the 3rd oldest city in SC and is steeped in Conferate history with great restaurant and many historic things to see.
There are four adult beach cruisers[bikes] which you can use for riding on the beach as well as two bikes for children. There are fishing rods, boogie boards and sand toys for the children.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need from a coffee bean grinder to a blender, three microwaves, two dishwashers, washer/dryer and two refrigerators. There are three pac-n-plays, a high chair,and a booster seat.If more baby "stuff' is needed the owners will likely be able to round some up.There is a large gas grill and a shrimp/crab/lobster steamer. There is covered parking for two cars and additional parking for 3 more vehicles.
For entertainment there is a Panasonic 50" HD Television system, six additional TVs with VCRs,and six DVD players. There is also a extensive Movie and CD library.There is also a PS2 in the Kids room.
Carolina Dreamin', is in the oldest Seaside Resort Town {Greator PAWLEYS ISLAND} in America. Our home is a great home for family, and friends, reunions [ we had 3 50th anniversry celebrations last year and two this year ],, offsite meetings and get-togethers, in any season. It is conveniently located 18 miles from Myrtle Beach and 65 miles from Charleston. There are 120 golf courses within 20 miles.There are many fine restaurants and grocery stores nearby.We will gladly help with recomendations and suggestions.
Linens, made-up beds, and departure maid service are included in weekly rentals Weekend rentals are available in the off season, three night minimum.There is a required, refundable $300 security/damage deposit required.
BED CONFIGURATION: Level 1: 4 bedrooms, all have their own separate bathroom. Three bedrooms have a queen-sized bed and the fourth bedroom has a set of twin beds.
Level 2: 1 king bed with its own private bath and jacuzzi tub. There is also a queen pullout sofa-bed in the Great Room, and an additional full bath, on this level.
Level 3: The 6th bedroom ,also known as the "Captain's Quarters", or the 'kids room', has 2 bunk beds with double mattresses on the bottom and twins on the top. This bedroom also has its own stereo , 36" TV, & DVD , and a PS 2.
The major attractions are the wide, white sandy beaches - among the best in the world and the southern ambience of this laid back beach community. The ocean temperature is normally in the 70's from the end of April until the middle of October, reaching the mid 80's in the summer.
Great beaches , great golf, a great fully equiped home , great restaurants , to spend quality relaxing time with your family, this is what we offer. Most of our guests are repeat clients who have become our friends.

We retired to Pawleys Island after living in Saratoga California for 25 years, the major reasons why we are her are the wonderful warm, safe ocean and beach , the southern ambience, and the availability of so many fine restaurants and fun places to visit, as well as the easy drive to Charleston.
We very much wanted a communitythat was friendly , intellectually challenging, had easy access to cultural events and airports and not have traffic jams. We found it !
We lived most of our adult lives in Norhtern California, we were born , raised and educated in New York City , and lived for seven wonderful years in rural Maryland.
We love the outdoors , activley use the ocean and inlet for crabbing , fishing , shrimping and fishing.
We travel extensively, spend a great deal of our time on the wast coast where our children and 13 grandchildren reside.
We love meeting our guests and assisting them in making their vacation as enjoyable as possible.
We were int he technology and legal busineesses in our prior lives and still have many friends who come and visit us from California.
We have 4 grown children, and 13 grandchildren , who spend a great deal of time with us every summer. We travel extensively but try to meet every guest to find out how we can make your vacation experience the very best.
Why the Owner Chose Litchfield Beach
We have owned property in Litchfield by the Sea for over 17 years and when we decided to retire, here is where we wanted to be. We wanted to be as close to the Beach / Ocean as possible [ a 2 1/2 minute walk or about 150 yards away ] have access to semi private pool [30 seconds away ], have great , lighted tennis courts nearby, and be in a safe friendly family envirement and within 5 minutes of seven great golf courses.
Thus we purchased the land, designed a home to accomadate all of our the grandkids [then 4 ] , chose a quality builder and then added all the amenities that we and our family would like.We needed plenty of bedrooms [6 ] and as many full baths as possible [6 ]. We built our beach home 11 years ago and have invited former guests to be co-owners and we have two great families that co-own our home with us.They have been co-owners for 10 and 5 years respectively.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our home is very tastefully decorated, has all of the things needed to make a vacation hassle free, and is in a very family oriented community. Though you are close to everything, you never feel crowded. The people who have rented our home in the past are upscale , classy people who have taken care of our home as if it were their own, and we have become friends with a number of them. In fact two families , who were guests are now ,co-owners with us
. Thus we have made our home a fractional ownership property. If you stay with us, enjoy your stay and would like to discuss the possibility of becoming an owner, we would welcome it. Most of our guests have rented for multiple years , thus the lack aof availabilty of rime dates.

Comment Text: A good time was had by all! We had a family reunion of elderly cousins. We felt like we were staying in a mansion because the home was beautifully decorated and so spacious. It was perfect for the whole family to sit around together. Grocery stores and restaurants were conveniently near. The ocean was just a short walk away.Litchfield community is beautiful. All I can say is WOW!

Despite less than perfect weather, our stay at Carolina Dreamin' was great. The house was well equipped and the owner was hospitable and accomodating. The house allowed space for everyone. It was an easy walk to the beach and pool. We had a great time visiting with family and friends. We loved having bikes to use and tennis so close by. We would certainly come back to this great house in a great resort.

What a wonderful Place!We were 15 strong-8 adults 7 children, all to celebrate our 50th anniversary.The fireworks on the beach on July 4th were fantastic.We enjoyed the beach at sunrise,saw the dolphins,during the day and on moonlit walks.Having an almost private pool was great. Your house is lovely and we trully enjoyed our week here.
