Beautiful ski-in ski-out Condo on the Kirkwood ski resort. Located 50 yards from the Cornice chair the Condo boasts views of the hill from all rooms. Watch skiers ski down one of Kirkwood's numerous trails. Within 100 yards of the Kirkwood Lodge, restaurants, the meadow and hiking trails. Several lakes offer fishing and boating nearby and historic pioneer trails cross the area. Mountain biking is great and Kirkwood Ski Area operates bike lifts in the summer!
1250 square feet with a great room open to the kitchen. One king-bed (master) and one queen-bed bedrooms and one large couch (twin) in the living room allow up to five adults to stay with privacy. You will enjoy a gas fireplace, a very well equipped kitchen, fully-stocked pantry and full linens.
Want to do some shopping, gambling, or maybe catch up a show in the casinos of Lake Tahoe? Within 40 to 45 minutes of a beautiful drive, you will be there. So you can take advantage of both worlds at any time.

This is the second time the wife, daughter and myself along with our dog have rented this condo. Marty is great to deal with, quick to answer any questions you may have and very accommodating. The house is well stocked and the only thing you need to bring is food, personal hygiene items and your ski's. Once you show up you can forget about using your car until you go home as everything is within walking distance and there is also a free shuttle to take you to the learning center if needed. This is a true ski in/out unit. I would highly recommend checking into this unit for a great time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family and I (3 kids 11, 8, 6 + dog) had a great time! Very big and nice condo / ski in ski out right near Chair 6 / awesome kitchen which was well stocked with pots / pans and any small items that we needed, comfortable beds, warm blankets etc. I have rented at almost all of the kirkwood condos and this was by far the best / most comfortable. Marty was easy to work with and very accommodating of any of our requests. I would check this first if you are looking for a condo at Kirkwood.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My review is bipolar. The condo itself is very nice (as in the pictures), with a good location. The kitchen is nice and nicely stocked and the furniture is comfortable. It really sleeps 4. The fireplace is very pleasant. Unlike other ski areas near Lake Tahoe, Kirkwood is far from the lake and the usual amenities, Though this condo is niccthulhu lost some of our deposit, though we left it clean and without damage. Renters beware of private owners and ridiculously excessive charges against their deposit. Our deposit was reduced in excess of what the brochure and website said, so it cost us more per night. We had NO kitchen towels or oven mitts. Also, there is NO washer so take extra clothes and extra towels! The owner was not flexible in extending our stay. Do not trust verbals from this owner, get everything in writing.Recommended for: Pet owners.
Owner response: In 20+ years and over 300 guests at our vacation rentals, this is the first time we ever charged a guest for taking a parking permit. We asked that the parking permit be FedEx'd back to the unit so that the following guests (3 different families over the next two weeks) over the holiday period would have it available to them. This guest did not do so, and caused much inconvenience to the guests who followed them. We charged this guest only what was agreed to in the rental agreement that he signed--nothing more. This guest told me how other condo's work at other resorts and feels that Kirkwood should do the same. Kirkwood has rules/processes that either the administration or associations have developed over the years. Sadly, this guest has felt treated unfairly because of this process. This guest waited until a day before departure to request to stay an additional night, and I tried to accommodate this request. When our cleaning crew did not have the capacity to take on the additional work due to their schedules, the guest's request for the additional night could not be accepted. This guest felt that we were inflexible. I'm sorry about that he had these feelings. Clearly, we would have liked to have had an additional night of rent and wanted to provide this flexibility, but it is not always possible especially during the Christmas holiday week.

Great place for ski-in-out. Condo is in good condition, furniture in reasonable condition (a little different from pictures but in a good way). Only complaints were: slow internet connection (not the condo owner's fault) and not enough towels/pillow cases. Condo owner was very easy to deal with, responsive and his set up for renting the condo and gaining access to it was very convenient. Would definitely recommend it.Did you find this review helpful?
