Welcome to "Casita El Monte de Huston" a luxurious Adobe Casita featuring artwork (oil on canvan) of Ann Huston who is one of most popular artists in Taos. This beautiful 1 bedroom is within walking distance of the Historic Plaza featuring a master suite with a queen pillow-top bed, gourmet kitchen, private hot tub and Kiva fireplace. We are across the street from the 5 Star Luxury Resort "El Monte Sagrado" which includes a Spa, Fine Dining and Martini Bar with "Live" Music. We offer an amazing Taos location that allows you to walk to the historic plaza, galleries, restaurants and bars.

Attention Skiers, Bikers & Hikers!!! This is one of the BEST locations to experience Taos as the National Forest (Biking/Hiking) is less than 1 mile away. (Restaurants/Shopping) You can also walk to the Taos Plaza. This beautiful Casita El Monte De Suenos is located close to the historic plaza and 25 minutes to the Taos Ski Valley.

Amenities include: Full Kitchen, Outdoor Hot Tub, Gas Grill, Multi-media capabilities (Internet, Satellite TV, DVD, Stereo etc). The kitchen features a gas stove with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. The living room also has a southwest style sofa sleeper that will sleep an additional two kids or adults. The outside patio has room to Barbecue with a gas grill and we recently installed an outdoor jacuzzi for those evening star gazing moments or enjoying the mountain views in the privacy of aspen trees.

Policies: 1. Deposits: 50% at booking. 50% 45 days before arrival - holidays/events 90 days. (100% payment with reduced rate.) 2. Check-in 4pm. Check-out 11am. Late check-out = 1/2 day rental. 3. Your Confirmation, Key Code & Directions are attached to your email "Reservation Confirmation" upon booking. 4. No smoking inside unit. Violation fees up to $500. 5. New Mexico is a drought state. Please Save Water. 6. Recycle: Use bins outside or separate in bags. 7. Cancellation: No refunds within 45 or 90 (holiday/event) days before arrival. (Unless re-rented) Fee 25%. 8. Pets: Dogs allowed in 'Pet Friendly' units $15/nt. Please clean up inside & outside. 9. We are not liable for personal injuries or illnesses on property. 10. We are not responsible for loss/damage of personal items. 11. Hot Tub: Shower before & no children under 18 w/o adult supervision. 8am to 9pm. 12. Use caution on wet floors, near hot tub, steps and especially icy areas. 13. Leave units as you found them except detailed cleaning. 14.     Oct 2007 - We loved our stay at this casita! It’s beautifully appointed, warm space full of creative energy: art & good music. Sitting in the hot tub one night we saw 3 falling stars in a 15 minute period. Amazing! Enjoyed grilling Bison steaks (from Cids market) and making the rest of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. Loved the Tapas from the French Latin fushion place: Gutiz. Walked the gorge trail & spent time at the Taos Pueblo. We’d recommend this place to anyone! (Lynn & Scott from Ann Arbor, MI)

  • Very nice property. Nice appointments and well stocked with basics, like salt & pepper and soap and shampoo. We liked being a little closer into town and in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. Thanks for the extra portable pedestal fan for those summer days. Great little barbeque grill. Thanks for the WIFI. [I hate to admit it, but I did take my laptop.]

    July 2007 – We celebrated our 14th anniversary here & had a wonderful time. This casita is a joy to stay at. We spent time at the Fiesta “Que Vivan Las Fiestas de Taos!” And we hit the Black Mesa & La Chiripada wineries. The kitchen was great for cooking & the hot tub was fun to.   • Quiet, luxurious & walking distance to the plaza. The location was beautiful with large hardwood trees and mountain views from the hot tub & patio. We were able to walk across the street to El Monte Sagrado and chill in the Anaconda bar & my partner was able to have a spa treatment. Last, we were able to bike to the national park from the property. This place was amazing! I highly recommend it! JA

    If you want a true Taos Mountain experience then this is the place to stay. Close to town/plaza 10 minutes & only 15-20 minutes from the world famous Taos Ski Valley. Also, we hike & bike for miles from the property to national forest land. Last, it is right next to Arroyo Seco which is a really cool off-shoot of Taos with Taos Cow ice cream and restaurant, art galleries & great shops.
