  • Peaceful and Tranquil - Perfect Place to Unwind

"We had a wonderful week at this oceanfront cottage. Sheila greeted us on arrival, and pointed out that the whales (orcas) were coming through the Active Pass. We saw them nearly every day, as well as otters, seals, deer, a raccoon, bald eagles and other birds such as cedar waxwings, turkey vultures, kingfishers and herons. This cottage has the perfect setting, and the large windows give a great view. The sunrises were spectacular, and there were shore access points to enjoy at a few minutes' walk away. Galiano Island has that "get away from it all" feel, with a slower, gentler pace of life. The cottage is in keeping with that, and has a beautiful old-fashioned charm about it. We enjoyed walking down to the bakery and book shop at Sturdies Bay, and also the Saturday Market. The Bluffs, Bellhouse Provincial Park, Arbutus Point Road and the shore access points at Mary Ann Road were great places to walk with our dogs. Thank you Sheila and Keith for sharing this property with us and allowing us to bring our dogs, who also had a great time."

  • Cozy cottage

"Our week at the cottage was truly wonderful. We had a relaxing week with everything we needed in the cottage or close by. The island has great, local restaurants, a market that I would love to have in my own neighborhood! The market is filled with locally grown food, flowers, and a cozy coffee shop inside. Hidden behind a few trees is a fabulous Thai restaurant! We went hiking on clearly marked trails, visited several art galleries and a most delightful bookstore. It was absolutely quiet except for the sound of an occasional ferry. I recommend this cottage for those who need a break from noise and traffic and want to read, eat, kayak, and hike easy trails. Bring a good book and enjoy the view."

  • The best cottage ever

"Ralph and Rocky are the nicest hosts a person could want. My husband and myself try to make it out every year and we always stay in their cozy cabin. We have returned and brought our family as well as out of town guests and rented out the top floor of their other chalet. Ralph and Rocky always make you feel right at home and are always so helpful. We usually rent a boat from them and go out adventuring. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful and relaxing getaway. Did I mention Rocky is the best baker around? The Girard Family"
