  • Heaven on earth!

"My family and I spent 7 heavenly days in Mille Fleurs celebrating my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. The villa could not have been more perfect! We loved the French colonial architecture and elegant decor, but most especially we loved the outdoor spaces and of course the infinity pool and spectacular view. We relaxed in the gazebo with cocktails at the end of each day and watched the sun set on the Caribbean, and then swam under the stars (and a full moon) before bed each night. On the evening of the anniversary, we hired a private chef to prepare a 4-course gourmet meal, which was served at the elegant dining table on the columned terrace. Although we were eager to explore the island, in the end we generally preferred to just stay home and relax in our private oasis of peace and beauty. We will cherish our memories of our week at Mille Fleurs, and certainly return if we make another trip to St. Martin!"

  • Destination wedding - The best place to stay in Casa de Campo!!

"My daughter had her heart set on a destination wedding in Casa de Campo. We chose this villa because of the convenient central location within Casa de Campo. Little did we realize that this wonderful villa and it's amazing staff would become the centerpiece for an unforgettable wedding. Housekeeping Staff - Did I mention the staff? Simply Amazing. Had we known that our laundry would be washed and pressed the same day, we would have brought less clothes! We gave them cash and asked them to go to the store and buy ingredients to prepare a traditional Dominican dinner. What they prepared for us was out of this world delicious!! Every meal was outstanding. We were in a hurry on the day of the wedding, so I ran out and picked up lunch meat and condiments. Somehow those ingredients were turned into gourmet sandwiches. We could have eaten at any number of wonderful restaurants nearby, but my family preferred to dine at the large table overlooking the pool for every meal. The combination of the delicious food, the pampered service and the gorgeous views all with my family will provide a lifetime of wonderful memories. Location/Transportation - We had wedding guests staying at the hotel, at other villas and even at the marina. The two golf carts supplied with the villa made visiting everyone a breeze. If someone needed something from the grocery store we would just hop in a golf cart and it was a quick 5 min ride away. We also took the golf carts to the shooting range, the golf course, the quaint village of Altos de Chavon (where my daughter was married). You MUST visit Altos de Chavon!!!! We never needed or wanted a car, very relaxing. Accommodations - The villa has the elegance and casual comfort of a Ritz Carlton. The indoor/outdoor living areas are so relaxing and full of nature, and the pool with a built-in hot tub is the perfect size. Summary - No one wanted to leave!!! We were so comfortable and relaxed in spite of a hectic wedding event. My family is still raving about the food and the pampered service. The combination of a beautifully appointed villa in a convenient location with a world-class staff, provided us with a perfect destination wedding!!! We are already planning a return family retreat for next year. Roy, you promised we would be impressed, and you were right!!"

  • Beautiful Spot. Great Value.

"You can read the superlatives in the other reviews. They are true. I just want to add some tips and perhaps some other helpful information for potential guests. This was our first trip to St. Kitts. We are frequent visitors to the islands (Caymans, Bahamas, BVI, Turks & Caicos, etc...) and stayed 2 of the past 4 years at a mountain side villa on Nevis on the Four Seasons property. Rest assured, this Turtle Beach villa is a far better value than the Four Seasons which is itself a pretty amazing place. One thing we loved was being on the windward side of the island yet being just minutes (by car) from the Caribbean thus having best best of both worlds. Best nearby restaurants/bars are Spice Mill (1 mile). Salt Plage is a new high-end beach bar with a yacht club vibe. Very upscale. Beautiful design. Located just north of the new marina. The sign faces north so it's hard to see coming from the villa and headed back toward the city. Maybe 3 miles away. Carabola beach club was a huge surprise. New and very very snazzy but all opened up to the sea. High end but not too pricey. Maybe 6 miles away...just north of Shipwreck bar. We read in Tripadvisor that when the cruise ships are in then Carabola can be a nightmare so perhaps call ahead. We had a great experience. Also fun but typical Caribbean beach bars are aforementioned Shipwreck and Reggae Beach Bar which is less than a mile from the villa. The personality of Reggae changes based on whether the taxis have dropped off a bunch of cruisers but we went there on several occasions and always had a good time. If you intend on snorkeling we suggest bring your own equipment. There is none at the house and the rentals are expensive and restrictive. We rented a 4x4 from Dwayne the property manager. He picked us up at the airport and filled our pantry as well. You MUST have a 4x4 to get around. The villa is in an isolated part of the island. You will be 20 minutes (over 2 mountains) from Basse Terre. This is a good thing. In no way is the location a negative but you must be able to be mobile. Relying on taxis would be expensive and cumbersome. An additional FYI, we had about a 4 hour gap between when we needed to be out of the villa (10 am.) and when we needed to be at the airport but we wanted to enjoy the day and be able to freshen up before getting on our plane. You can rent a room at the Marriott from 9 am to 6 pm for about $125 bucks. Or just get pool passes. Enjoy. Home is fantastic."

  • Excellent Vacation

"My daughter and I had a wonderful time on Culebra and having this beautiful property as our home base. It is in a great location and beautifully appointed. I love to cook and found the kitchen exceptionally well stocked and delightful. The beds are comfortable with nice pillows and linens. The island is very laid back, the people are friendly and the beaches are beautiful. A vehicle is necessary...Jerry's Jeeps is fantastic! Jerry is so kind and helpful. We were met at the airport by Jim, who gave us a tour through town before leading us to the house. Cheryl assisted me in the booking process and she was wonderful. All in all, a splendid stay!"
