  • What a gorgeous island and property

"What a beautiful home! We will all be back again. Thank you for a very comfortable experience. The linens were superb, the beds were so comfy. Beautifully decorated and the landscaping was so gorgeous. We absolutely loved this home and the outstanding back yard! We were in the pool every day and spent hours playing the silly ring & hook game, darts, and our own dominos. Everything at the home was so nice, we felt pampered and taken care of. Enjoyed the island and surrounding areas. Rod & Reel Restaurant is so close and has delicious food, but we learned to watch out for the wait times and arrive early. Would definitely like to return here soon. Thank you so much."

  • This location is simply wonderful

"We stayed here over Christmas and New Year 2016/2017. It sure helped that we had record weather with sunny days and temperatures well into the 80s. But it sure didn't make things worse staying at Beach Cay. Let's get the major thing out of the way first – this is an amazing location, you are more or less sixty steps from the beach. If your feet can handle a few steps on the tarmac you're on to the beach access path without putting shoes on and then you're on the beach. That beach that is just marvelous. Wow, Bean Point and that north end of the island is great. It's better than it looks in pictures. We loved the north end of Anna Maria, it's quiet, calm and super friendly. On the morning strolls (which you can take to the Rod & Reel Pier for a nice morning habit) everyone says good morning and it's really a cozy environment, even though a lot of the houses are rentals. I can not speak more highly of the surroundings, it's super. The house is spacious, with its four bedrooms, which all are as advertised, there is plenty of room in the house. The back yard is also as advertised – but I have to mention the pool specifically. This is a proper pool, it's almost six foot deep at the deepest end and it has ample size for the kids to really have fun in. They REALLY enjoyed it, and so did the adults, this is a real tangible bonus to the house. The temperature was perfect, the pool is heated of course and it was really great. Some points that are notable here: When we arrived there was a fair amount of debris in the pool, due to a tree pruning. We informed the owners of this and they called in the pool keeper straight away. (And he, Richard, gave us a killer restaurang suggestion as well.) We had some problems with the wifi (due to things outside the owners control), we talked to John about it a couple of times and solved it. They were really on their toes to help us figure this out, great service. All in all – GREAT attention to our needs. Suggestions for the owners: – The patio furniture could use an upgrade, perhaps a bigger table and some new chairs. – The kitchen equipment (pots, pans, knives) could use a $150 upgrade at Ikea to feel a bit more up to date. – When possible – the living room sofa and chairs could be upgraded to something more cozy, but that's just a taste matter, there is nothing wrong with them as they are. In short: We loved it. It felt like a home. Only a home in paradise."

  • Central location. Walk to beach, pier, shops, restaurants.

"This was our 2nd stay in Anna Maria and we love the tranquil feel of the area. Walking and biking are easy and preferred over cars. Angelfish rental is only 2 blocks to the beach, shops, restaurants (Ginny's & The Donut Experiment recommended for breakfast), 4 blocks to the City Pier or the Waterfront Restaurant which is our favorite place for dinner. Poppo's Taqueria is another favorite and only 2 blocks away. Watching the sun set every day at the Sandbar is a must and Bean Point is our favorite beach with great views of the inlet. If you're bringing a boat, take it over to Egmont Key for a great beach/snorkeling day at the island. There are lots of fish around the Fort Dade ruins there."

  • Wonderful home to enjoy this beautiful island...Everything was very welcoming and user friendly!

"What a wonderful house that was welcoming and extremely well thought out!! We had a family of 4 and had no problems! We were there in October first of November so nights were starting to get chilly so pool needs to be warmer and sliding door out to patio was wonderful but hard to open and close... The hot tub was great but temperamental sometimes it wouldn't heat up..... But these were little things that didn't bother us much! All in all I would rent it again no problems!!! We loved it!!"
