  • Great location with all the comforts of home for a family and friends getaway!

"Beach Nest is the idle vacation home for a family and friends gathering! The four bedroom layout which includes two master suites was ideal for our group. Bathrooms and showers were clean and inviting. Enclosed outdoor shower was an added bonus after a day at the beach or in the pool. The kitchen is well equipped with every item you could possible need. Dining areas are ample and can easily handle 12 to 15 people. Back porch also includes dinning table and comfortable seating with Weber Grill. We grilled almost every night. The office space in the back of the house provided one of member of our group an ideal place for her to complete her work commitment. Pool, hot tub and back dock provided good sun and a relaxing alternative to the beach. The distance to the beach is easily walkable and the beach / sunsets are beautiful. The Sandbar restaurant is on the beach and is great for lunch and dinner. Anna Maria Island and Anna Maria city are perfect locations. Most shopping, food and drink are walkable but we brought two bicycles and rented three from our host, Liza. All five bikes saw good use. The front and back porches at Beach Nest covered us when it rained and allowed the party to remain outside. Finally a word about Beach Nest's owner, Liza. She was terrific and very attentive to our questions and needs. I would highly recommend Beach Nest for family getaway. One postscript: If you come across a man's wedding ring during your visit please give it to Liza. It is mine."

  • Wonderful Stay!

"I hesitate to write a review about Bimini Bay as this house is a little gem that I don't want others to find;) The home is a well-appointed vacation home located just a few blocks to a beautiful public beach and the cute downtown of Anna Maria Island. We really enjoyed the relaxing, slow-paced island life during our weeks stay. Between the pool and the beach our kids were busy all day long. looking forward to another visit to Anna Maria Island soon!"

  • Great location 1 short block from the beach and with a lovely heated pool with hot tub

"We were 5 adults staying over Christmas. The house was cute, funky, very clean with modern appliances and showers in the 2 full baths. Headroom is very limited in the 2 upstairs bedrooms, the downstairs bedroom has the entry door to get to the driveway and pool area. There is a front room with a foldout couch and the main sitting room has a foldout as well, neither of which we tried. The kitchen is small but serviceable and was fairly well stocked with supplies (sugar, salt and pepper, soap, oil, paper towels). It could use a decent non-stick skillet. The main sitting room is crowded, it's hard to imagine more than 6 adults hanging out there. Fortunately, the pool area is lovely, with a spacious lanai. Unfortunately, the noise ordinance is so strict that we were reported for hanging out there at 9pm conversing in normal voices. The pool is the perfect temperature and the hot tub is great when temperatures cool off in the evening. The beach is beautiful, with the softest sand we've ever experienced. The water was cold but swimmable. We had perfect weather, sunny and around 80 every day and into the 60s at night. The house is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Our 1st evening, we walked to the City Pier, where we had a mediocre, overpriced dinner, so we mostly ate in for the rest of our stay, including using the charcoal grill in the lanai (but there was no spatula to use with the grill). The only sort of grocery in Anna Maria that we found was the General Store, which has very little merchandise, all at marked up prices. We shopped for groceries at the Publix in Bradenton Beach. We did order a very tasty lasagne from Vinny and Cheryl's that we ate at the house. We also got good lunches at Poppo's taqueria and Harry's Grill. All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing week and we're grateful to have found such a lovely venue at a very reasonable price."

  • Island Getaway!

"We stay at a lot of vacation rental homes due to having a large family that likes to all be together on vacation, and this was honestly one of the nicest places we have stayed. Well stocked, well maintained, clean, and beautiful! The kitchen had just about everything you can think of to need to prepare meals and feed a crew. The setup was just perfect for our large family. The backyard, pool and dock area was idyllic for a peaceful island getaway! We loved the house and are hoping to be able to come back soon!!"
