  • The owners take pride in offering a special place for their guests!

"We had a wonderful time staying at Angel Fish as part of our honeymoon trip! We found the description of the cottage and the area to be accurate as written. It was very clean, comfortable and charmingly decorated! We were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen is for cooking and even baking if so desired. The screened in porch and back patio with the pool was delightful and private. There was an issue in the beginning with housekeeping but Kara the manager was quick to address it and the owners went Above and Beyond in making it right! The desire to make our stay a comfortable and special one was obvious! Beach chairs, towels and sun umbrella helped make our frequent trips to the beach a very enjoyable one! We are so glad we chose AngelFish also because it is on the north end of the island.......much quieter yet within walking/biking distance to the beach, restaurants and stores. We would not hesitate in recommending AngelFish cottage! We look forward to returning!! Thank you again to the owners for offering a great place to stay, for being available throughout the rental process when needed and for taking great care of your guests!"

  • Perfection!

"We absolutely love this dreamy home! It is new and beautifully finished with every detail well-planned and top of the line. The beach is very close, only 2 or 3 houses away, and there is a wonderful deck off the upstairs master with a view of the ocean. The bathrooms are huge and luxurious. The pool is inviting with a shallow shelf at one end and a lovely waterfall. The kitchen is well stocked with high end appliances, cookware, and dishes. There is a wagon in the garage with beach chairs and toys. We enjoy biking around the north end and it only took about 5 minutes to bike down a sidewalk to get to that area and its many quiet side streets. The owner was great to work with and obviously has very high standards for the quality of his properties and also for his guests' experience. We felt very well taken care of and it made for a relaxing vacation. As I look at the snow falling in Colorado, I wish I was still there!"

  • Another great vacation on AMI

"The house is cute and was the perfect size for my husband, daughter and I. It was clean and well maintained. Like a lot of rentals, the furniture in the living room has seen better days, especially the couch, and could stand to be replaced. My daughter loved having her own space and the sink and toilet in her room was an added bonus I wasn't aware of prior to our stay. The pool is not a "swimming" pool, but I think I kind of figured it would be on the small side so it wasn't a total disappointment. We did get it in every time we came home from the beach to cool off from the walk. The walk to the beach isn't bad unless you plan on taking a lot of stuff. We rented a cart and umbrella for the week and it helped a lot. We generally prefer to stay right on the beach and probably will the next time we come, but we did enjoy the neighborhood and being able to walk to Pine Avenue to the restaraunts and shops. We have been to AMI several times and this year discovered The Donut Experiment which is an absolute must for anyone visiting the island. Per usual we made the trip to Rod and Reel, twice, and it was easily within walking distance from the house. Overall it was another great vacation on Anna Marie Island. Although I don't know that we would rent this particular house again, simply because we prefer to be on the beach, we would definately rent from Coastal Cottages and will probably use them to find our house on the beach."

  • "Old Florida" charm in the PERFECT location!

"We just returned from our first trip to Anna Maria Island, and thanks in a large part to this listing, we will be back. To start, Barbara was a gracious hostess, assuring that all was prepped perfectly for our arrival. The kitchen was appointed with all one would need for a short stay, including not only the usual pots and dishes, but also plastic wraps, paper towels and dish soap. (Having seen some former reviews where the size of the kitchen was a complaint, it is indeed a small galley kitchen. When I am on vacation, I wish to be able to make a simple breakfast, lunch and occasional dinner, and I was able to accomplish all 3 here). The bedroom is light and airy, with a ceiling fan and wonderfully comfortable king sized bed and deluxe linens. (For the more "temperature sensitive", there is both central heat and central AC). The deck overlooking the gulf was THE place to enjoy morning coffee, or an evening's glass of wine with some snacks. The walk to the beach was ~100 steps, so we spent most of our time outdoors on the cool quartz sand. (In answer to a former complaint lodged against the dogs, again, we had NO problem. Barbara lives downstairs and the dogs were well behaved. For the ENTIRE time we were there, we heard them for NO more than 5 minutes TOTAL). This is NOT a slick modern condo. It is a wonderful home in a peaceful and close-to-the-water neighborhood. If you need to relax and take in all nature has to offer on this low-key island, then THIS is your place. We are so glad to have found it!"
