"We were super impressed with this condo. Great location just out of town with a great view of the ocean and the constant sound of the surf. The condo was super clean and everything that we needed was there. This part of Costa Rica is one of my favorites. The township is perfect with great restaurants and bars along with your typical shops with something for everyone.... From our base we went on great ATV treks, horse riding and especially some amazing zip line courses. The surf is great and the ocean is amazing here..Highly recommended"

"My wife and I stayed at Toucan Tango for two weeks in late December 2014. We had a better than excellent time, due in no small part to the total environment of Toucan Tango. The attributes are evident from the photos: exquisite view over the rainforest canopy to the ocean, fantastic pool, a lovely home that is fully appointed and furnished. The details: if the elements of nature are not your thing.....then Toucan Tango is not for you. The howler monkeys, giant toads, and plethora of tropical birds are a symphonic backdrop for the entire evening and nighttime. Poolside kitchen is great. Even though there are a number of remarkable restaurants about 10 minutes away in Ojochal, we chose to spend most evenings cooking and dining on the patio. While I would characterize ourselves as adventurers, many days we never even got in our car, opting instead to hang out on the poolside patio and walking in the jungle surrounding the home. The patio is totally private. We were gracioiusly greeted by a neighborhood friend of the owners, who provided us with a thorough orientation. A very useful notebook for the house and region is provided by the owners. Their restaurant recommendations are spot on. The road accessing the house is a fairly rough gravel track which is steep in spots. Accordingly, the owners recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Our experience was that even when we forgot to switch our car into 4 wheel drive mode, there was no problem navigating the track. The house is very spacious. Kitchen is well appointed, and we love to cook. This place reflects great attention to aesthetic details. Great art throughout. Excellent ventilation. The BR's are all air conditioned, but we never once turned any of them on, preferring the gentle breeze provided by nature and about a dozen ceiling fans........even on the patio. The pool is one of the nicest I've experienced at a vrbo rental. Obviously, we are considering a return trip"

"I have been to Costa Rica a few times before and finally found this place when going with my girlfriend.
First off we got a warm welcome from the lovely host Roberto! He showed us around his amazing property and could recommend activities for any kind of traveler.
Our days there were pretty packed with daytime activities like horseback riding, a whole day of quad driving and getting to know the area, we went surfing, day trips to cascades and waterfalls in nearby towns and so on. All carefully explained by the host. A short walk down the property at the beach we got to see the beautiful sunset every evening. As the night fell we went out to eat and there is a lot of good variations out there. In downtown Santa Teresa there's this nice little cafe called The Bakery, a lovely place where we went to get new fresh bread every now and again.
The property is super private and quiet wich is perfect for the less active days and lets you just drift of into a jungle paradise.
My girlfriend also tried different yoga classes, spas and said it was a great experience.
For all you instagrammers and facebookers, my girlfriend included, dont worry they have wifi.
Recommending this paradise to family and friends and definetly coming back!"

"We had a wonderful time at Casa Tucana. We were a group of 5 adults and two toddlers. Arriving past midnight, we were greeted by a cheery Chloe who gave us a quick welcome and house set-up. The house is clean, comfortable and breezy, bright, beautifully furnished with spacious, private rooms and all the ammneties you need.
Beautiful salt water pool which the kids enjoyed for endless hours. There were 3 separate socializing areas – the outdoor lounge, which is shaded and private with a well -kept garden of palms and other local fauna. A small deck: perfect for evening drinks and an outdoor area on the roof with a nice view over the surrounding jungle/fields.
We saw monkeys and geckos and frogs and the odd cow in a nearby paddock. Were pleasantly surprised by how bug free the property was. The proximity to the beach was just right– a 15 minute walk or 2 min drive. In the rustic village of Esterillos Oeste there was a grocery store with everything. The village is a true local spot, not at all touristy. Though you definitely need a car to fully enjoy the area between Jaco and Manuel Antonio.
The house was the perfect respite for naps and quiet relaxing during the midday heat and we organized our activities for the mornings and late afternoons. We found Bejuco a magic spot – nice wide beach and lots of local families.
Chloe and Dan were very helpful – arranging car rental through Zuma (who conveniently included a driver to and from the airport) organized local catering for a birthday meal for one in our party, setting us up with the best guide for our tour of Manuel Antonio and zip-lining at the excellent nearby Ocean Ranch.
I might add that they accommodated us within a week of having their 3rd child – and made themselves available for whatever we needed, which was an impressive feat in itself.
Overall, we adored Costa Rica and were very comfortable at Casa Tucana where thoughts of our stressful loves back home melted away. Would highly recommend it for a relaxed family retreat. Thank You so much Chloe and Dan!"
