"My husband and I rented Casa Loro for our two week honeymoon in Cozumel and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Joni, the on-island property manager, was extremely helpful and a perfect host the entire time. She met us the morning after we arrived to give us a brief orientation about the house and gave us recommendations on local places to eat, beaches to visit, sites to see, etc. Everything was just as pictured and advertised. The house is well stocked with everything you need. The beds were very comfortable and having the extra amenities (such as laundry and those awesome beach towels) was such a bonus. The air conditioning system in each room worked extremely well and even on the hottest and most humid of days, we were always comfortable.
The house itself is set back in the Independencia neighborhood in town and is about a ten minute walk down to the water front and big grocery stores (Chedraui and Mega is a bit farther down the street). The neighborhood itself is extremely safe and the house with gate are very, very secure. We walked around late at night without a worry. The neighbors were also friendly and there are a ton of great local eateries within a few blocks of the house. Taxis to the waterfront usually ran around 30-50 pesos (30-40 pesos to the grocery store, about 40-50 to the ferry pier) and about 80-100 pesos to the marinas (Moneybar). Rafael, the taxi contact listed in the house binder, was always prompt in sending a taxi over whenever we needed one and was very reliable.
I think the best part of this rental (aside from being in a very safe neighborhood, as advertised and with an amazing property manager), is that you really can get a local experience. Being set back in town and away from the cruise ships and touristy strip of Avenida Melgar, we really got to dine with a lot of the locals and wander around areas without many other tourists. Of course it's all there if you're into that, but we really enjoyed being away from the hubbub of the shopping district and cruise ship travelers. We also were visited by a super friendly gentleman who sells pastries every morning between about 8:30-9:30 am. He always had tips on where to go and what to visit.
We would absolutely not hesitate in recommending this property to anyone traveling to Cozumel. We loved the home and all the people in the neighborhood!"

"Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. Pictures and descriptions are accurate. Breanna is great at responding and providing information. Our 6-year old enjoyed all the toys available. The condo is very spacious, quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. I won't add much to what the other review already mentioned but will add these tips that may be helpful:
-We found having a car to be much more convenient, especially with a young child
-the cave and zip lining at nearby Aktun Chen was fun and very safe for a young child
-the Chedraui supermarket in Tulum (on the Coba road towards Tulum beach) is the best supermarket we found and has most of the main bank ATMs inside (check which one is affiliated with your bank). The Super Chomak market in Akumal has a good Selection too.
-the La Buena Vida beach restaurant in Akumal on way to Yal-ku lagoon is a great place for lunch and dinner-great atmosphere
-pizzara Leo in the village of Chemuyil is great
-we enjoyed our visits to Akumal beach snorkeling for sea turtles, Coba ruins early and rented bikes to climb the pyramid, and a visit to the "cave" snorkeling at Grand Cenote just outside Tulum.
-if time allows make trips to snorkel at national reef park at Puerto Morelos for amazing coral and fish (we used Wetset Diving), chichen itza, and Ik-Kil cenote.
-the wifi connection through Oasis was fast and was $30 for 5 days"

Carribean Reef Villas is a great place to stay in Purto Morelos
"This is my second stay at the Carribean Reef Villas. The ground floor units are really nice because you can walk right off your patio into the pool area. The view is spectacular any time of the day. I love my early morning coffee on the loungers by the pool. The grounds are well kept. The pool has been clean both times I've been. The security is present at night and always very friendly and attentive. We like to rent a car when staying here it just makes things much easier.
The unit itself is tastefully decorated. The hideaway bed was just perfect for my small children. I didn't do any cooking. The coffee maker and microwave to heat up my leftovers was all I needed. There is a new Chedreui (spelling) in town that has everything you should need though I like to use the Casa Martin grocery if possible.
The ocean out front of the unit is not really swimmable but the pool and ocean breeze is perfect! This is a perfect place to stay for a couple or a couple with 2 children."

"I am thrilled to be writing my second (but not last) review of Casa Carlita. It was such a pleasure to stay there once again. To sum up: it's perfect. You have the comforts of home, the location is truly ideal, it's peaceful and quiet, Victor-as usual, was very helpful and Guadalupe - a gem. The kitchen is 100% stocked - all you need to do is walk 2 block to a great store. My husband cooked fresh octopus on the grill by the pool. The owners are the best - they care about you, your stay and the house. It is well cared for and loved. The best thing I can say is that I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Carlita to anyone and would stay there again."
