  • Great place to stay in Kapaa

"We had a great time on Kauai and the room turned out to be perfect for our stay. Loved the location close to everything and and easy walk to Lappert's Ice Cream in the Coconut Marketplace! Snorkel, fins, bogey board and kayak rental right on property, plus a great spot for a quick and inexpensive meal at the Kilauea Fish Market also on the Islander Property. We were surprised to find the room was yet cleaned when we arrived just after 3pm, but the owner resolved the issues to our complete satisfaction. Although small, the room is comfortable and it was all we needed for our stay as most days were spent out doing activities in the Kapaa area or elsewhere on the island. First floor location was nice and kept the room fairly cool. We slept great in spite of the time change, and found we didn't even need to run the AC at night. I especially liked how quiet the room was at night. After Kauai, we went to Oahu for a week and I slept so much better in Kauai!"

  • Great Location and unit!

"My husband and I stayed at this condo for 10 days and absolutely loved the unit, view, location, everything. We like to cook our breakfast and lunch and pack with us for the day and this unit had all the proper cooking necessities and even some baggies and tupperware to use. Now for the view - you cannot beat it. We saw whales almost every day off of our deck and also saw turtles, surfers, divers, etc. There was always something interesting to watch when we weren't reading our books. As for location - we found this place to be perfect so that going south or north was not a big deal either way and we were able to easily split our time amongst the whole island without feeling like we had to drive for hours. Also, great access to a lot of good places to eat and/or buy food/drinks. Very comfortable king bed and AC unit in the bedroom and overall just a great place! Loved it!"

  • Wonderful condo!

"My family comes to Kauai every year, and we often stay at the Lae Nani in several condos for the superior beach front location. This is by far the nicest condo I have stayed in. Right when you walk in you feel comfortable and at home. This is because it is updated with nice art and furnishings. We often have troubles with the beds being rock hard and uncomfortable which can ruin a trip. The bed in this place was definitely an upgrade! The kitchen and bathrooms were updated which is always nice. This is the first time I have stayed in building 5 and I think it is the best building of all of them, it is beach front, but away from any hustle of the pool. We had a great time here, were very comfortable and loved every minute. Other than a couple minor snafu's with the booking agent, and trying to figure out the complicated TV/DVD, everything turned out perfect. We will definitely be back next year!"

Not intended for the faint of heart, this 11-mile trail will provide you with unparalleled views of the sea cliffs that comprise the coast. For an even more beautiful hike situated not far from Kauai lodging, consider taking the two-mile Ke'e Beach hike. After viewing exceptional coastline views, the trail will take you through ohia, kuki and bamboo tree groves before concluding at a cozy little beach nestled near a sea cave.

If you are looking for a quiet place to get away and enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle, East Kauai vacation rentals are also located near one of the most attractive and secluded beaches on the island. Ke'e Beach is considered to be at its best by many early in the morning, providing the opportunity to explore the reef located just offshore. You can also enjoy a calm lagoon and a host of different sea life, such as barracuda and turtles, if you feel up to snorkeling. Just make sure you leave your Kauai lodging early enough to beat the crowds.

Take a Whale-watching Cruise near Kauai Lodging

If you plan to time your vacation in Kauai condos during humpback whale season, which runs from December through April, then you will certainly be in for a treat. During this time, these gentle giants come specifically to the beaches of Kauai to give birth. Take a whale-watching cruise and enjoy the opportunity to view whales as close as 50 yards from your boat. Cruises depart not far from East Kauai vacation rentals.
