"This was my 4th trip to Shangril La and I continue to be more and more delighted with each stay. This is a truly remarkable home, so much so that every time I want to go to Hawaii, it's hard to imagine staying anywhere else.
- It's a short walk to an incredible, kid friendly beach that is always empty
- It's super private and is on an 10+ acres of immaculately maintained land with flowers, trees, a hot tub, a pool with a waterfall
- The house is super comfortable, nicely decorated and has a ton of covered outdoor deck space
- It's in a beautiful, peaceful area that's convenient to both the North and the East shores
If you are looking for a peaceful place to get away that's walking distance to a beach, you will be hard pressed to find a better one at any price in Hawaii. Can't say enough good things about the home."

"Over the twenty plus years we have been visiting Kauai, we have stayed in the full range of accommodations offered all over the island. On our visit this May, 2015, we stayed at this condo that without a doubt ranks in the top three of all the places we have stayed. We heartily concur with all the positive comments submitted by other reviewers. But we do want to emphasize the fabulous view offered by this location. It is certainly the "best" view on the island with the mystique of Mt Makana, "Bali Hai," in the background. The amazing hourly play of changes of the view included massive clouds, brilliant sunshine, low clouds, rain and rainbows, smooth ocean and rough surf, and, of course, the sunsets...amazing all. We certainly will be returning to this remarkable location. The ease with which we were able to reserve our time with the owner was most noteworthy."

"This is our second stay in this unit at The Cliffs and we plan to return again next year. The condo was extremely clean. The carpets seem new, the window washer just left as we arrived so the windows were spotless. Both lanais had no dirt on the floors or furniture. I think the air must be very clean in Princeville because the lanai table had no dust for the entire week we were there. Beautiful views of the ocean and the mountains to the side. The pools and hot tubs at the complex were nicer than most other complexes we have been to. We hiked down the cliff in front of the property (even though there are signs warning people not to do that!) on a nice path and found a wonderful waterfall! Going a little further down at ocean level we saw four sea turtles. Mahalo for allowing us to be guests at your condo!"

"We loved our time here! The house was perfect for two families with three young kids. Having two bedrooms with twin beds downstairs was great for the little ones, and allowed for some nice separation for the adults upstairs. The lush garden really provided amazing privacy and the kids enjoyed playing out there for hours. We loved the outdoor shower, and I noticed that the owner added towel hooks in response to the previous review. We cooked all of our meals, and the kitchen was great--the only improvement would be some sharper knives. We made good use of the beach supplies, which included boogie boards, snorkels/fins, sun umbrella, mats, and plenty of sand toys for the kids. The location is idyllic with outstanding beaches super close by (we hit a different beach every day without needing to drive more than 5 miles). My wife and I enjoyed taking turns running the Nepali coast trail, which is about a three minute drive from the house. It was also nice to be able to walk a couple hundred yards down the road (or beach) to the coffee shop at the Hanalei Colony Resort. We would definitely stay here again!"
