  • Perfect Spot!

"This condo is exactly what you see in the pictures. It has a lot of space. I loved the vaulted ceiling which made it feel very open. The maintenance company was great! We called Marion's Place to have a light replaced in the Master Bath and within 10 minutes, someone was knocking on our door. Our maintenance guy was very helpful and even brought back drano for the sink. No problems with the sink except a little slow flow. He gave us entertainment suggestions and was very friendly. The kitchen is big and very well equipped. We had everything we needed here. We even visited Big Jim's restaurant, which we could walk to, and the General Store in Palmetto Dunes. We called the Dune Buggy service for a ride to the beach and he was there within 10 minutes dropping us off and picking us up. One thing I was surprised by was how quiet the Queen's Grant neighborhood was. Even though the condos are joined to each other, we never heard any of our neighbors. Wonderful stay!"

  • We totally loved your place

"We stayed here the week of 5/31/14 through 6/7/14 and had the best time ever. My wife and I renewed our wedding vows on the beach in celebration of our 30 year anniversary. The place was perfect for all 6 of us. The walk to the beach was just minutes away and that was good since we spent much of our time at the pool, a very short walk from Abbington. We totally loved the deck in the back by the lagoon which was very quiet and peaceful since it was an end unit. Palmetto Dunes was a fantastic place for people like us with families. The bike trails were awesome. We will be making a visit back here real soon and will be sure to stay at Abbington Villas again. Thank you for allowing us to share your place, The Gannons"

  • Good house on lagoon for a family vacation

"We enjoyed our time at the house and were very comfortable there. It was a nice location on a quiet cul-de-sac and on the lagoon. We enjoyed having the dock for my son to fish from and liked using the kayak. It does need a back replaced on one of the seats (not too comfortable). Also, be aware that there are alligators in the lagoon! The pool is small but nice to cool off in. Palmetto Dunes is a great place to ride your bicycle and there are always lots of people jogging, biking, and walking. The house was well supplied with everything we needed. The master bathroom shower/bath would be very difficult for an older adult or handicapped person to get in and out of. Otherwise, we'd recommend the house for a vacation."

  • Best Vacation Ever

"First comment is about the owners of the villa. Wow, what can I say except that they were the best people I have ever dealt with. The owners were so receptive and were always available to answer any and all questions. Their villa was so perfect. Our first observation upon our arrival was how clean it was and looked just like the pictures. It had everything we needed to make our vacation perfect. Location, Location, Location. The location of the villa is just perfect. The backyard is the 11-mile lagoon. My son and I fished it and had Blue Herons and even an alligator visit us. We caught a lot of fish. We had a bite on every cast. We were within walking distance of the general store and an outfitter where we rented kayaks and took a trip on the lagoon. Some of the most beautiful scenery you could imagine. And the beach is within walking distance. This was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on. Always saw lifeguards on duty and never had one issue with anyone on the beach. One activity that should be a must for all visitors is a fishing charter. I took my 9-year old son on a charter with Captain Trent Malphrus of Palmetto Lagoon Charters. He was so good with my son that I felt like we had known Trent our whole life. We caught a couple of nice Red Drum and about 15 sharks including Black Tips, Bonnets (that we thought were Hammer Heads) and Reef Sharks. The best thing about Hilton Head is it is not as commercialized as some of the other beaches but still has a lot of activities for the kids. My wife and daughter enjoyed shopping at the Tanger Outlets and Coligny Plaza. Some of the restaurants we recommend are The Crazy Crab, The King Fisher and The Salty Dog in Sea Pines. The Crazy Crab had the best crab legs. Also, if you are interested in a new tattoo, go see the artists at Incredible Ink. Very good artists and very reasonable prices. I also took my son to Parris Island to show him where I spent a few months of my life back in 1988. Go to the museum if you want to spend a good time learning about the history of Marine Corps recruit training. Make sure you stop at the parade deck if there are any recruits practicing their drills for graduation. The only thing I did not get to experience was the golfing. All of the courses are beautiful but we did not have room for the clubs. This just gives me a reason to return. Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful villa and we will be returning again very soon."
