Better than advertised
"My family of four stayed for a week and absolutely loved the place. The home has been very recently remodeled and even the landscaping was impeccable. The home was in the condition you'd expect if they were selling it. And no "bottom of the barrel" pots and pans and cooking tools. We often bring some of our own things when traveling but this place was fully equipped. Very impressed."

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Rental property was immaculate, modern and beautiful. It's in a very quiet, remote, and secluded part of Orcas Island, which does take some time to get to from the ferry terminal on Orcas. However, it is well worth it. Property has an amazing water view and the Two story windows make it even better. Best shower I have ever used. when showering, it seems you are outside, but really not, which is perfect IMHO. I found it to be private. Internet was a bit slow, but met expectations for this type of remote vacation. Speaker system wired throughout house is playing via smartphone. Plenty of room for 4 with a single shared bathroom. House has everything you would ever need. property manager is obviously very good because we ran in to NO issues. Loved this amazing vacation. Things we did- whale watching (we were in the middle of a 50 whale Superpod), mountain biking, hiking, raw oyster shucking down the street, and more. would return in a heartbeat and I seriously will be considering putting a similar bathroom in my house. Unit is priced right for the value in the summer."

"What a beautiful place to celebrate my 57th birthday. We sold our house on Orcas about 17 years ago, so I knew that this house was in a perfect location: close to Eastsound (the town), close to the ferry, close to the golf course, and close to West Sound. The house is as pictured, but lives even better; quality construction and smart design. The layout of the house is wonderful for two couples. They had their end of the house, with a bath and bedroom. We had our end of the house (closes off with a big sliding door) with large bedroom, separate master closet, laundry, and bathroom. The master bath has two sinks and a separate toilet/shower area.
The kitchen and main living area are connected. The view out the bank of sliding doors that run the length of the living room is spectacular. You can see Eastsound across the bay. The house stayed cool as it faces northeast and it wasn't a terribly hot week; and we opened many windows and the sliding doors to let the fresh air in.
The patio is private and quiet. You can hear the water below. The kitchen is set up for cooks; but we ate dinner out while we were on island. West Sound Cafe provided a beautiful setting and wonderful food. The same for Inn at Ship Bay. Rose's was perfect for lunch. A run to Island Market after unpacking allowed us to stock up on things we couldn't bring in the car.
There is WiFi (slow compared to off island, but worked well) and there was a TV in the living room and 2nd bedroom. The set of Mexican Train dominos in the game drawer led to a fun game night.
Our friends have already recommended Casa Verde to their friends. I just hope that they don't rent the house in mid-July, as we would like to return again. Thank you to the owner for sharing this wonderful house."

"We wanted a quiet, peaceful getaway and this ON-the-bay cottage delivered! As each day faded, we kicked our shoes off, opened up a bottle of wine and watched the gentle bay slowly change hues as the sun sank beyond the horizon. After a day exploring the island's many nearby natural attractions -- Spencer Spit, Iceberg Point, Watmough Bay -- we would return "home," sink into the comfortable furnishings and extend a toast to our good fortune in finding this one-of-a-kind property. A short walk away, we enjoyed the Love Dog Cafe, shopped at the Lopez Market and purchased delectable, drinkable souvenirs from the Lopez Island Vineyard. All in all, the Bay Inlet Beach Cottage is the perfect week-long escape for the weary traveler. We hope to make the trek from Iowa to this island gem again and again."
