This classy, quiet 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a loft is nestled in the woods, however a short walk down to Shark Reef Sanctuary offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably but can accommodate up to 5 or 6 if you don't mind being extra close and paying an extra charge. Deer, rabbits and eagles live on the property. It has a full kitchen with a gas range, a small yard and deck and a private hot tub. The cabin is 1 mile from the golf course, and Shark Reef Park. Lopez island is a favorite for bike riders, beachcombers and kayakers. Enjoy amazing hikes, the Saturday Farmers Market and the Take it or Leave free store. The cabin has Wifi capabilities and DVD players. Movies can be rented in the village or there is a small collection at the cabin. There is not a washer or dryer, however there is a laundry mat outside of the village. Pets are welcome if you agree to the rules on the pet addendum. Please download it, read it and forward back to us. If you find any problems with the cabin please let us know right away so we can address it immediately.

The cabin and jacuzzi was wonderful!
It was as real treat to soak in the jacuzzi and cook on a gas stove. The location was within easy walking distance to Shark Reef Sanctuary where one can view the lazy sea lions. When we had a minor technology hic-up, the owner was very responsive to our text msg.
Not what we expected.
This listing is a trailer in the woods. When my husband and I arrived and walked through it, we immediately tried to find other accommodations on the island. We were unsuccessful due to the busy summer season. Not wanting to cut our long-planned vacation short, we stayed for the full 4 nights we had booked. We knew it would be small, but it was even smaller than the photos make it seem and is in serious need of TLC. The bedroom was so tiny we had to move the bed against the wall to fit a small, traveling crib for our infant daughter. The floors are warped and buckle slightly in the hallway when walked on. There were cobwebs in the kitchen and living room. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a wasps nest outside. Additionally, the whole house smelled of mold.
We did not try out the hot tub as we tried to spend as little time during the day there as possible and at night there were too many mosquitos. I cannot recommend staying here.
This review is a gross misrepresentation of our cabin. As you can see we have consistantly have 4 and 5 star reviews.
It clearly states the square footage on the VRBO website. This reviewer never consulted us about room for a crib.
Our cedar cabin smells a lot like cedar and is impeccably maintained. It is professionally cleaned after each guests stay.
There is a bubble in the laminate flooring and at times you can feel it. It has never been an issue. The floors are not buckling.
In moving furniture around this reviewer broke the bed and we were kind enough not to charge them for it.
I was told by my housekeeper that she had rarely seen guests leave a vacation rental in such poor shape.
Its too bad they didn't try the hot tub, its amazing! It's surrounded by trees with stars up above. It sounds like some relaxation would have good for this reviewer.
cozy & private cabin in woods
cabin is built on a trailer frame, but that is it's only resemblance to a trailer - it is situated in a wooded setting with a yard & nice little deck area for outside seating/play for kids - we found it to be as represented by the pictures - sitting on the deck & relaxing in the hot tub made it a very enjoyable experience - it's a great size for a couple & perhaps one or two smaller children - didn't go to the loft, but headspace appears limited
did have problems with getting the shower to maintain the temperature & the spray focused
this was our first trip to the San Juans & we found the cabin to be close to the village for some needed supplies as well as some must see areas - would stay again
Small but tidy and lovely cottage in the woods
Fabulous location, about a quarter mile up the road from the beautiful Shark Reef Sanctuary. The cabin was very clean, nicely furnished and well-equipped. Perfect for
our family of three -- though the loft is surprisingly spacious and could easily accommodate 2 or more sleepers. Relaxing in the hot tub under the trees at night was a delight. Lorry was a very responsive and pleasant host. We particularly appreciated that she took care of all the daily hot tub maintenance (so nothing for us to do but soak).
A quiet, peaceful and relaxing getaway in an inviting, cozy cabin.
My wife and I decided to honeymoon on Lopez and settled on this cabin as our destination. The location was excellent! Shark reef is one of the most beautiful sights on the island in our opinion. Also, the hot tub added to the appeal and made our stay much more relaxing and enjoyable. The property manager is very kind and easy to work with. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Not the cabin we expected.
This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath trailer situated in a dense, overgrown forest. On the way up the driveway, what appears to be the previous hot tub was positioned on the right hand side. At the front door we were met by an aluminum door with a condensation filled double paned window. Entering the trailer we noticed a strong odor which had mingled with the smell of plug in air fresheners. Touring the trailer we noticed the confines were going to be tight and the buckled plastic laminate under foot also detracted from the ambiance. The kids rushed up to the loft area and advised me not to try and come up as the ceiling height was less than 5 feet. In fact my 10 year old was unable to stand up straight due to the ceiling height.
The quality of the property photographs and the positioning of the camera was incredible. They make the property seem larger and more inviting than what we experienced. With two nights pre-paid we still chose to find other accommodations on the island for our stay. I recommend the walk down to Shark Reef Sanctuary and I do not recommend staying at this property.
This cabin is on the west side of Lopez Island close to Shark Reef Sanctuary which offers amazing views of the straits, Cattle Point lighthouse on San Juan Island, and abundant sea life. The golf course is also near the cabin.
Lopez Village offers: Boutique shopping, thrift shopping, gift shopping, Lopez Vineyard wine tasting or San Juan Islands ice cream tasting, skateboarding or bike riding, paddle boarding or kayaking, and many other activities.
Lopez also offers great hiking, beach-combing, fishing and crabbing. There are many wonderful restaurants on Lopez as well as the Saturday market where you can purchase fresh island grown veggies or have a delicious lunch.
Once you have been to Lopez Island you will always come back.
