The accommodations are ideal for 4 - 6 people, great atmosphere outside on poolside or front, close to everything you need. Beach walk is short as described. Easy and fun local street travel services vastly available due to location. Fun all around you.

Nicely updated property. Close to beach and several restaurants. Very nice to just park your car and walk to almost anything. You do have to cross a major street to get to the beach, but there is a crosswalk with a button to trigger flashing lights so traffic will be notified to stop for you. Still, caution is advised particularly if you have children. The only downside for us was that the listing stated there is a heated pool available, shared with two other units. We had looked forward to that but it was not heated and was definitely too cold to enjoy. The host then informed us that the listing was not updated since the hurricane a year ago took out the pool’s heating panel. This was obviously a disappointment to us. We hope the listing is now updated so others will not experience this, but we did enjoy sitting by the pool a bit since the weather was nice during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend this property to others.

Excellent stay!

Our group of 6 adults had a wonderful time. Everything was exactly as advertised, didn’t need to use our cars all weekend. Felt very private, clean, comfortable, and the pool was very clean! Would stay here again.

Loved the property and location. It was nice having our own pool as well. Villa is well equipped with everything you need and even items for the beach which is nice for saving space when packing.. Will definitely be back to this location.

Great location

Tasteful decor with an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and music. Our group of five friends had a blast for our girls’ weekend. We appreciated the four parking spots out front and cleanliness of the property.

Nice but small

The place was a little small for 6 adults, and yes there wasnt an ice maker, but there were trays at least. Overall was a good experience. Pool was warm enough to swim at end of November, but the shells out back are kind of a PITA when walkiing to the pool.

Exactly what we wanted!

We were able to quickly find the location and it was a 3 minute walk to the beach. A few walkable restaurants and bars, coffee, bike/kayak/boat rentals within walking distance. The home itself had ample space, my kids loved the fact they each had their own room(13 & 14 yr olds). The pool was immaculately clean, with a grill right next to it. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful sunset. Plenty of beach gear avail, we didn’t use it but it was there. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we will be back!

Nice, quiet and convenient

We had a two night stay which is hard to find. The home had plenty of room for the four of us. Kitchen had everything we needed. The walk to the convenient little grocery store around the corner was perfect and the service there was really nice. You can easily walk to the beach and pick up an adult beverage at captain Curt’s. There’s public beach that does offer chairs and umbrellas for 50$ a day. The chairs and beach items at the rental are available but need replacing as they were very old or succumbed to the salt and sand. Keep in mind this villa is a home that has been divided up into three separate rentals which wasn’t an issue for us. We never saw the other renters using the pool or heard any noise from the adjoining units.

Good location and place

There during spring break for 3 nights. The house is split up into 3 separate rentals that share the pool area which backs a pond. Ample parking for all. Our place had 3 separate bedrooms and 2 shared bathrooms. Be careful entering the 2 back bedrooms with the step down into limited space. Kitchen counter space was limited but kitchen was adequately stocked. Reasonable request to wash dishes before leaving but I would suggest to supply dishwasher detergent. Although a few items have been left behind, it would be nice to have simple things like coffee/tea, salt/pepper, sweetner, facial tissue provided. Everything else seemed in working order. 2 working fridge/freezers without automatic ice (5-6 ice trays). Side shared with a restaurant but noise wasn’t excessive. 1-2 min walk to Spearfish Grill which was kinda pricey but excellent fresh fish. Other restaurants and bars and small grocery store also 1-2 min walk. 5 minute walk to the public beach. Beware that most of the beach area is private and the public allotment of sand gets very crowded. Florida gulf sunsets are amazing! House provided at least 6-8 working beach chairs, a small umbrella (you can rent a bigger umbrella at the beach for $25), and a cooler. Only a hodgepodge of toys (though we didn’t have young kids). Right over the south island bridge so easy to get to Sarasota. David owner gave good information prior to arrival and quickly answered any questions.

disappointed

arrived and realized the ice maker in either (yes there are 2 fridges) did not work. Called Owner and was told he would bring a bag of ice the following day. Then another text saying he was dropping off a bag of ice. There was not even ice cube trays for us to make ice. Two of the bedrooms that are advertised with having Queen size beds only have full size beds. An issue, we were going to have 2 to each bed. We were not able to do so. However, we made the best of it as we were already there. Unit was dirty, garbage under the couches, filthy walls and flooring. When I booked the unit, I requested a 12pm checkout. And again, when the email with the check in instructions were sent, I again stated we would like a 12pm check out. On Sunday at 10:45am, David knocked at the door and said we needed to leave, I told him that I had requested a 12pm checkout. His response was did you get a response back... He then said we could stay for an additional $50.00 and that would give us until 1pm. I said ok and he then asked if I was paying him by cash or Venmo.... I asked to have it charged to the card on file and he said he couldn't do that. I then asked what compensation we should get for not having any ice available in the unit for the 3 nights we were there (this is a basic need), and he asked me what I thought I should get. I said just deduct $ 50.00 and call it even. His response was I want you all out in 10 minutes. Pots/pans old and unusable.

2 sides to every review Kathy told me the freezer had not made ice I personally dropped the a large bag within an hour I checked with them the next morning if they would like anymore and was told they were fine and all seemed good The late check out was never confirmed so regular check out is st 10am I arrived at 11am with our cleaners and the guests were still inside Our rates for late check out is posted so the rate til 1 pm is $50 in A 3 bed 2 bath Kathy was frustrated and verbally responsive as I said I could do it but for a charge This is when the mood changed and wanted to give her $50 off her stay as the ice maker didn’t work Our job as host is to make our guests as comfortable and enjoy staying with us I then ashes her to leave as the cleaners are waiting Once we were inside it was a mess Damaged ornaments and dirty dishes everywhere and bottle of alcohol Hence the negative review that I just new was coming The 2 beds in the guests bedrooms are both queen size as stated in our listing I would ask any other potential guests to read our other reviews To see the standards we keep We have been hosting for20 years on Siesta key And most of our guests have a lovely stay and come back I did reach out to Kathy regarding the condition she left our rental in and explained how disappointed we were The late fee was never paid I felt it was important to tell our side as we put so much effort into hosting and it’s so easy for the guests to write untruths David

Proximity to things was great! Mirror in bathroom was dirty upon arrival. Beach chairs were ancient, rusted and seemed unsafe. We also didn’t realize pool would be unheated. Overall, good.

While the location is easy to get to, it was not a very clean street or neighborhood. Additionally, be aware on the following: - This is not a "house", it's really a house broken up into apartments. There are 3 separate apartments, you share all outside amenities with those staying there. - The two guest rooms have a drop down at the door threshold. Our elder mother took a tumble when she first entered her room, luckily she landed on the bed unscathed. - One of the back bedrooms of unit #3 has a door leading back to the pool. This wasn't good for our young kids, the door alarm didn't appear to be working and the door handle fell off. When I contacted the owner about the fix they informed me they were out of town and would get it fixed 6 days later (after we checked out). - There is a makeshift wall in the kitchen that is covered a door to one of the other units. - Water pressure in the bathroom was not very strong, took a long time to even wash your hands in the sink of the primary bathroom. - There are good things, but the whole experience was overall negative for us and we left after only one night. Not having a door knob on a door to the patio/pool area was a huge safety for us with young kids.
