Beautiful setting. Our family enjoyed the trails for walking. The cabin was well equipped and very nicely decorated. Most importantly very clean!
Our two Families would like to thank our gracious hosts Curt & Kathy for the use of their Amazing Cabin! This is our 21st Anniversary of Cabin Weekend Gatherings and by FAR the absolute Best accommodations we've experienced in the 20 Years prior. Every possible detail was thoroughly considered, which met & exceeded our expectations! From the bar area, sprawling great room, individual baths, outdoor seating by the fireplace & the privacy. Our now grown children loved Kayaking in the lake, caught no fish, but enjoyed the beauty of the lake. We look forward to our next visit!
Lovely cabin on peaceful lake
Our family absolutely loved our week stay at this wonderful property on the lake. We were lucky with weather as it was beautiful and warm during the days and cool at night allowing us to enjoy the awesome outdoor gas fireplace and the fire pit down by the lake. We kayaked and fished every day on the lake. We also explored the banks of the lake and the trails on the property. We met some really nice neighbors and enjoyed learning about the area from them. We ate all our meals at the cabin using the fully equipped kitchen. Leading up to our trip, Kathy was very helpful and even texted the day we arrived to make sure all was well. The gift basket was a nice surprise and we made great use of its contents. We hope to return to this property again next year.
The log cabin is absolutely gorgeous and it sits on a beautiful piece of land with lots of wildlife.
The owners of this cabin were very friendly and have done an exceptional job rehabbing this cabin to accommodate many people. The deck that overlooks the lake was our favorite gathering place. The cabin contained all the amenities for a comfortable stay. I definitely felt spoiled. Hiking trails offered a great way to exceecise, the new fire pit and gift basket left for us was a fun option for stories around a fire with s'mores, the cabin sits on a part of the lake that is quiet and secluded which made us feel we were on our own private lake, the cabin was stocked with many floats for enjoyment in the lake and the cabin was stalked with many games for family game night. This retreat exceeded our expectations!
Beautiful cabin, serene location on the lake, very relaxing time
This was the most perfect cabin for my family and me (about 20 people) during graduation weekend at LMU. It looked like we were the only cabin on the lake so you get a lot of privacy. The cabin was very clean and had a warm, cozy feeling. Beautiful interior and exterior. I got a lot of comments from family members that they just loved everything about the cabin. The rentor provided us with a lot of board games to keep us occupied. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake all 3 days we were there (since 4 kayaks were provided for us by the rentor). My dad and brother brought down their own fishing poles and fished as well from the cabin property and the dock. We made plenty use of the outdoor deck and gas fireplace. My dad grilled out everyday using their gas grill. Beautiful views all around the cabin. Awesome for taking family photos. We used their outdoor games as well. Easy route (20 mins) to LMU. There's a locked gate before you get onto the cabin property. We did not encounter any big animals on the property so it felt pretty safe the whole time. The rentor, Kathy, was very friendly and sweet. She responded to my questions via email, call or text very quickly. I felt that she genuinely wanted us to have a good time at her cabin and we definitely did. If I ever come back to the area for Alumni events, I will definitely stay at this cabin again! I was very lucky to have found this place!!
