  • Honeymoon at Swim N' Bear

"We spent four nights at Swim N' Bear for our honeymoon, and I can honestly say the only complaint we had, was when it was time to go home! When we arrived to the cabin, the air conditioner wasn't working and it was very hot in the cabin. We contacted Dwayne and he was already working on the problem. He had someone working on it, and it was working within an hour of us arriving. This wasn't an issue for us, as we were pleased that Dwayne was already dealing with the problem and it was fixed in such a timely manner. Dwayne was so great to work with! Plus, it being hot in the cabin, just gave us a reason to avoid unpacking and get in the pool sooner :) Speaking of the pool...It is amazing! By far, our favorite part of the cabin! We swam everyday and sometimes more than once. We went out a few times, for dinner, to go the the aquarium (was ok, but overpriced), and to do a little shopping, but we spent the majority of our time in the cabin. We played several games of pool and cooked alot of the grill. The cabin was very clean and decorated to fit the black bear theme. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have spent our honeymoon. We will be booking with Dwayne again!"

  • Great Family Getaway

"This was our 5th trip to PF for vacation over the last 7yrs. We love it there and our kids have grown up going there. We've stayed in cabins and hotels in the past just depending on what our plans were at the time. This time we wanted access to PF, but mostly planned to hike & go whitewater rafting. This place was perfect for both. We had easy access to some great hiking trails & rafting during the day, and also had easy access to town for evening activities. Everything was in easy reach. The cabin was comfortable and cozy for me, my wife, 18yo son, and 15yo daughter. [Son got the the bed in the loft and daughter got the couch in living room.] Everything worked [except the blender:]. We saw a mamma bear and her 3 cubs right after we arrived. They were across the street trying to get into a trash can. We had a wonderful stay here and completely satisfied. I read earlier reviews that were too harsh and inaccurate. The shower was fine for all of us. My son and I are both 6'01", 200lbs- No probs; The water pressure was fine too; The cabin was clean w/no bugs around; Hot tub worked great and so did the AC too [100 deg every day]; As for the view, this is a resort area in the lower foothills. If you want a super great view, get a cabin up in the mountains, but be prepared to drive an hour to get anywhere and pay a lot more as well. The view was fine for where we were. The WIFI worked ok too, but hey this is a cabin surrounded by mountains. It's all about perspective, folks. We were grateful to Diane for the easy access and availability for any questions, although, I only contacted her to send her pics of the bears. [This was the 1st time in all these years we actually saw bears. Saw another while hiking too.] Everything went smooth for us and we will be back. Thanks Diane!"
