About Nancy Gross
We designed and built this family home in 2004 and our son and daughter grew up here. With one out of the nest and the other away at college, Mark and Nancy are spending more time at their second home on the nearby Chesapeake Bay. We have enjoyed renting out our Bethesda home to families and business travelers, many whom come to DC for a family wedding, graduation, or to see the sights in the Nation's Capital. We will provide you with a comprehensive house manual, brochures and guides to the tourist spots, and how to find restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation and other necessities nearby. We do our best to provide everything you might need while away from home, including a fully stocked kitchen, reading lamps at every bed, all paper goods, sheets, towels, etc.
Why Nancy Gross chose Bethesda
Our contemporary home is probably the most unique place you will ever stay. We have been renting out this home on Airbnb for two years (Bethesda, MD, Luxurious Modern Home Overlooking the Potomac). Located at the end of a cul de sac, the back of the house is floor to ceiling windows overlooking woods, and when the leaves our down, a view of the Potomac river. We find the abundance of natural light and closeness to nature soothing in a busy metropolitan area. We have large open spaces to spend time together, but also private spots for quiet time. Our dining table can seat ten, with room to spare for a folding table and chairs if you have guests over for dinner. The back yard and patio is peaceful and a great place to spend time relaxing. The gas grill is always ready to go (no tank required) and the screened porch with a ceiling fan and fireplace allows three season outdoor dining. We love our green oasis, but also appreciate being a 5 minute hop to be on the highway or in downtown Bethesda, or 20 minutes to downtown DC. If you have business at NIH, Marriott, or in the tech corridor on I-270, you can reach any of those spots in minutes. We built our home to stay in this fantastic school district, enjoy living on a dead end street, and to have the open space to entertain our friends, which we love to do and do often! We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
The best part about staying in our house is being able to have extended family share time together. And because it is our primary home, it is fully stocked with everything you need to feel like you are at home. We make space for our guests in all the closets, bathrooms, etc.

Pleasant, comfortable experience.
Terry and his extended family were a pleasure to host. Not a thing was out of place and the house looked great upon their departure.
Spacious, unique and functional contemporary home in peaceful setting
This is a beautiful and unique contemporary home in a peaceful setting just a short drive from the Bethesda Metro. It was perfect for our group of eight old friends who liked having space to spread out, privacy when needed, and a beautiful dining area that easily accommodated a large group. The home offers a rare combination of beauty and functionality, including an outdoor area with plenty of seating surrounded by trees and great for our "happy hours." The kitchen had everything we could could possibly need for meal prep plus plenty of seating in the adjacent TV room for the "non-chefs". Our friendly host Nancy made everything easy and responded quickly to any requests we had. We couldn't recommend this home more highly.
Doug and his group were great guests and treated our home with the utmost care and respect, leaving the house tidy and following all of the check out instructions appropriately. We appreciate renters that are open about what their group needs and expectations are during the planning phase, so that we can provide the best and most comfortable experience possible for each group!
The home and grounds were perfect for our graduation family reunion.
The home had enough private and public spaces that our family felt comfortable. We walked the neighborhood in the evenings and enjoyed it so much. The hosts are organized with instructions and friendly. I recommend this property!
This house and location are breathtaking
The home is wonderful. The owners were super responsive and everything was as described. There were 5 of us in the house for a week and we had ample room to work alongside each other; and get personal space as needed. The house is minutes from the C&O canal towpath and other parks, a short drive from DC and of course everything you might need in Bethesda.
Thanks Eric. It was a pleasure to host you and your colleagues and we would be happy to do so again in the future.
Lovely elegant home!
Julie and her family were lovely guests and treated our home beautifully. We had a same day turnover and Julie nicely put in a load of wash for me to move things along quickly, which I really appreciated. We would be glad to host them again.
It was perfect to host family from out of town for our daughters wedding
It was fabulous for her wedding morning photo shoot with her bridesmaids getting ready.
It was spacious elegant and functional.
The hosts were very helpful
We had a difficult time figuring out the modern light switches!!
Bethesda Maryland, while less than 10 miles from all the museums, monuments and attractions of Washington DC, is also a great destination to base your stay in the Nation's capital. Bethesda has a walkable downtown with over 200 restaurant and lots of great stores and shopping.
