What a beautiful house, so impressed with everything. There was not one thing that was missing. Ever

  • 5 of 5

Had a great experience with the owners. Very helpful with any questions or concerns we might have had. The house was immaculate, big kitchen and dining area. The beds very comfortable. The huge deck with a beautiful gas grill overlooking a yard that is professionally landscaped was very impressive. Two dicksclose by with kayak and canoe. Sandy beach a little further down the road. Close to Lake George and for the winter enthusiasts skiing and snowmobiling. My wife and I can't say enough good things about Eagles Nest and the owners. Definitely coming back with the grandchildren again!!

Great house

  • 4 of 5

Eagles Nest is a great vacation house near Loon Lake. It was large enough for our family of 13 and had everything we needed. You had to drive to the private access to the lake and to the beach, but that was OK. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the fact that the lower level, which contains 3 of the 7 bedrooms had no AC and many of the windows did not have screens. There was a dehumidifier and fan but with the lack of AC being able to open windows would have been nice. In fact, even the rooms with AC could have used screens so the AC would not have to run 24/7. The game room above the garage also did not have screens, so if you wanted to use it you had to open the windows and compete with the bugs. These things can be easily remedied and it would be a 5+ star house.

well kept property with plenty of room inside and out

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 7 adults and 5 children enjoyed our stay at Cheri and Craig's Adirondack home. Cheri was responsive to any minor need that would arise. We were able to cook a lot in the fully equipped kitchen and had lots of room for our pantry items that we brought along.

We had loads of sleeping space and lots of room to spread out. Having four bathrooms was wonderful.

Be aware that you must drive to the beach front property, but our family really enjoyed the public beach at Loon Lake and we spent 3 full days enjoying that area. The public beach is a short 3 to 4 miles away.

One suggestion would be to provide air conditioning to the downstairs bedroom/toy room area. The outside building that houses the games is also not air conditioned and we felt we would have spent more time there if it would have been air conditioned. The kids loved to play there as well as the grown ups.

We utilized the outdoor campfire and enjoyed that very much. Plenty of seating outside for everyone.

We would not hesitate staying at Eagles Nest on a return trip to the Adirondacks.

A little slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay here at Eagles Nest was absolutely wonderful. The house was more than we had expected!! We were 2 families with children, and everyone had plenty of room and privacy. The home was immaculate upon arrival. With lake access so close and the awesome game room, the kids were never without stuff to do. The owner, Cheri was very quick to respond to any questions. We loved our time here and hope to do it again! Perhaps a ski vacation is in our future......
