The 2nd story has 2 bedrooms with 1 queen and a set of bunk combined-and one twin bed in bedroom 2. First floor living/dining area is fully furnished and equipped with newer electric range, appliances,2 sleeve A/C units & Wi-Fi smart TV. Prime location. situated steps from Hoover Auditorium, downtown shopping, restaurants and 2 blocks from lakefront park, shuffleboard, miniature golf and dock. Four blocks to the Wellness Center and Pool, pickleball and tennis courts. Usage of backyard gas grilll and outside dining. Full driveway parking up to 3 vehicles included. Pets welcome. Lakeside gate fees ( Memorial Day - Labor Day) NOT INCLUDED sleeps 6 with a twin air mattress.

Great hidden gem!

Excellent location, Clean and cosy, Friendly and communicative host. Glad we could also bring our pup to enjoy the week with us. Having access to the long driveway for parking was very convenient. Would definitely rent again!

Great for fishermen!

The cottage is a clean, cozy place to stay and the host was nice to work with. For boaters, the house has a long driveway to park your rig. Would stay here again!

Wonderful! Prime location

Our favorite family vacation spot! This property is in a prime location and the host goes above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Furniture was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We loved every minute!

The property next door was undergoing major construction and we enjoyed our interactions with the workers and was fascinated with the process which was to raise the house and redo the footers and foundation. You don’t see that every day.

Our experience renting this cottage at Lakeside was great! The updated kitchen was wonderful for preparing meals. We had 6 people total, one teenager sleeping on an air mattress that was provided (thank you!). It is located close to Walnut Plaza, the lake, and the park which was very convenient. We are so grateful to our hostess, Judy, for her generosity and kindness. We would highly recommend renting this cottage!

Last Resort at Lakeside

This cottage was comfy and cozy! A convenient location and close to everything, but also very quiet. The host resolved any issues quickly. We had a great stay here and even the cat enjoyed the outdoor patio.

Another great week at Mayberry

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. So close to everything. Not quite the same as past years because of Covid but still had a great time. This was our third year staying here and we hope to be back

The best getaway!

This house was perfect for our two young kids and dog. It’s tiny but definitely laid out well so it doesn’t feel cramped. Clean, perfect location, and Judy and her son we wonderful. We’ll definitely be booking again.

So convenient

This cottage is convenient to everything at Lakeside. No car or golf cart necessary. It was ideal for my husband and me. We stayed last summer and will most likely be back next year. There is a grill for outdoor cooking and A/C which we couldn’t do without. Two wonderful weeks in Mayberry!

Cozy, convenient, and caring

The cottage was very clean and convenient to all the Lakeside fun, without blocks and blocks of walking. The owners are in the house next door and truly could not have been kinder or more helpful. The only slight drawback was that the AC was window units in the living area and the master bedroom. The second bedroom was quite warm, especially with the morning sun coming through the block window. We got some fans and were good. Of course, the best part was being able to bring our beloved pup!

Quaint cottage perfect for adult couple

We had a wonderful stay at “The Last Resort” with myself, my fiancé, my sister, and my brother-in-law as well as our two dogs. Being able to have our dogs with us was a huge bonus as most cottages in Lakeside don’t allow that. The only downside was that we had to walk them to Hoover Auditorium to go to the bathroom since there was no grass on the property but that wasn’t a problem for us. The WiFi was very strong and we were able to work and conduct a zoom call from the cottage. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic as well. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Will not sleep 6

They replaced the queen size sofa bed it said in our description when we booked in November 2022 with a love seat without telling us. Offered no help air mattress or anything. Will only sleep 4 comfortably. 2 bedroom upstairs 1 queen, 2 twins. We had our son and 3 granddaughters there for ONLY 2 nights, that made 6 which it said it could accommodate. We stayed by ourselves (2) the remainder of the week.

LOVED THE LAST RESORT!

The Last Resort cottage was an awesome location. Adults walked one or two minutes to pool, lake, pickle ball, market store, donuts & coffee, auditorium, ice cream. Kids bikes it in 30 seconds. The cottage is tastefully decorated & neat. Kitchen fully stocked, oven heats up quickly, large refrigerator. We cooked three dinners. Shower has plenty of hot water. Slept great! Cottage is bright & cheerful with plenty of natural light. We appreciated the extra front door light for our teenager returning on his bike at 11 pm from Bettinger Park. We had the entire driveway to park our car & bikes (we ended up not renting a golf cart). Lakeside was lovely & Judy’s cottage was a hit!
