Beachfront cottage on beautiful Goose Rocks Beach. Built in 1896, Emery Cottage has been in the family for 6 generations. It is truly a hidden treasure on Goose Rocks and is featured in many works of art which you’ll probably see in some of the local shops. Emery Cottage has three bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, dining/living area and a sunroom with an amazing view. Cozy, comfortable, clean and simply charming!

The front porch is a great place to relax, read and enjoy a cool drink after a long day on a very private part of the beach. Four strides off the porch and you are on your way down the stairs to the soft sands of Goose Rocks. The beach is perfect for lively games or for peaceful walks. Just down the beach you will find amazing tide pools, rock formations and plenty of unique shells along the way.

The world-famous Tides Beach Club and it’s award-winning restaurants is 0.5 miles away, the General Store and gift shop is a short 0.2 mile walk, the beautiful coastal village of Cape Porpoise with its incredible views and restaurants is 7 minutes away and the famous Dock Square in Kennebunkport is only 11 minutes away. Kennebunkport is a dockside village famous for the numerous shops full of local craftspeople, artisans, gifts, clothing, incredible food and it’s all accessible on foot.

Along the way, make sure to stop at the viewing area of Walker Point. Here you will find unending views of the Atlantic and the stunning rocky sea walls which are so unique to the Maine coastline.

Excellent location , terrific view right on the ocean. The house was immaculate and comfortable . We know the area well and are always happy to come back . We would consider returning same time next year .. Linda was lovely !

Location location location!!

Amazing views at this cozy historic cottage. It’s a Goose Rocks Beach original, which is hard to find. Perfect for our family of 4 with plenty of room to sleep, eat and play inside on a rainy day. It truly is steps to the beach. The beach has plenty of space, super soft sand and is quiet. You can walk to the general store in less than 5 minutes to get deli sandwiches, pizza, snacks, drinks, even a bottle of wine. Don’t miss out on the fresh muffins, they are fabulous. There is a lot to explore in the area with Kennebunkport 10-15 minutes away with shops, restaurants and more. Linda, the host, is very hospitable to ensure your stay is comfortable. She lives right next door but totally gives you your space. She’s kind and lovely to work with. She has great recommendations, including the Portland Children’s Museum for our 2 and 5 year old on a rainy day. It was so much fun! I highly recommend renting linens and beach towels. Good to have extras when things don’t dry as quickly. There’s no washer or dryer but a big clothesline with clothespins to use which worked perfectly for us. It was a fantastic vacation with amazing views and the best location. The sunrise is spectacular in August. Don’t hesitate, book your stay. You won’t regret it!

Great beach week!

Our family had a great stay at this little cottage. Waking up to that beautiful view and heading out straight to the beach to search for sand dollars was a highlight. The cottage is great for children because it is old, and I didn’t have to worry about anything getting damaged or breaking. The cottage was exactly what was listed, ocean front, small little cottage with charm. It was a perfect week.

Beautiful beach getaway with friends

You can’t beat the location of this cottage right on Goose Rocks Beach. As advertised, it is rustic and small, but was perfect for our girls getaway weekend. We loved walking on the beach and kicking back on the lovely porch. The owner was very communicative and easy to work with. Our group would rent this again!

Perfect location for a romantic long weekend getaway on a quiet beautiful beach!

We loved our long holiday weekend stay at this very rustic, small cottage right on the beach - the ocean view is the highlight! It was just so perfect for the two of us! Goose Rocks Beach is quiet but so beautiful and the owner was so gracious and wonderful! We hope to be back sometime (soon)!

PERFECT location

This cottage is right on the beach, you don't even have to cross the road to get there. We love going to sleep listening to the surf. When we weren't outside, we were usually sitting in the sunroom looking at the ocean. It was exactly as advertised... clean and cozy. Linda (the owner) lives next door and was always nice and super helpful. My daughter and I had a wonderful visit!

Beautiful historic Oceanfront cottage in Kennebunkport Maine

Spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the Goose rocks, wildlife abound including birds and best of all seals. Property sits on a protected cove. House has a well equipped kitchen, beautiful oceanfront views from dining room, kitchen, living and sun room. Great front porch and small yard on beach side. Quiet and peaceful sandy beach getaway. Cape Porpoise 7 minute drive 4 food and groceries. 11 minutes to central Kennebunkport with shops and restaurants. Nature abound with beautiful Maine coastlines. Portland just 35 minutes to north makes for a great day trip. If you desire an authentic Maine beachfront rustic cottage look no further, host's family has owned for 6 generations and my wife and I felt honored to stay there.

We had the best time, it was so relaxing. The views are so beautiful from the porch. The cottage had everything we needed and Linda the manager was very nice. It was a perfect mother/daughter trip!

Perfect little getaway

This house was amazing! We have a 1.5 year old boy and 3.5 year old little girl and they had the best week. House was perfect with everything we needed and more. Awesome location with so much to do. We can’t wait to come back. Linda was very friendly and welcoming.

We had a great week staying at Linda's beautiful cottage. It was just what we were looking for with a spectacular view and right on the beach. Clean and cozy, it gave us the quintessential Maine vacation experience. Linda was wonderful and we look forward to returning!

Location, location, location!

We spent a week in this cottage on Goose Rocks Beach. Most of our time was spent enjoying the ocean either from the front porch, while walking the beach or paddling kayaks. We loved the ocean views through the large picture windows and sleeping to the sound of the waves. We definitely hope to return.

Quaint house on goose rocks beach

We had a fabulous time at the cottage. We’ve been to Kennebunkport many times. We have never stayed on goose rocks beach. We knew we would love the house the minute we pulled into the driveway. Linda met us when we pulled up She was very friendly and gave us some neat info on the house The house is very rustic We enjoyed playing cards and games And had great walks on the beach The weather was fabulous while we were there We ate at all the typical restaurants that we usually go to, We managed to get into “The lost Fire” It’s an Argentinian restaurant it was fabulous !!!!Best place we ate out at. We would highly recommend going there when you stay here. We are looking forward to coming back Thanks again Linda

Great beachfront cottage

We were looking for the convenience of a cottage right on the beach with a young child and it did not disappoint. Beautiful sunrises, beach remains even at high tide. Goose Rocks beach is such a quiet relaxing beach and we lucked out with the weather even in late September. Heat was great when we needed it. We mostly cooked breakfast in the house and there are great restaurants nearby and in Portland. Also close by is pool st market which does excellent lobster rolls. Hope to come back again. Linda was a great host!

This is a GEM! Perfect location—right ON my favorite beach ever.

This beach! Down the steps to fine white sand, clean warm water. No crowds. Just right for young families. So safe. Our 2yo loves it. The house is the quintessential 19c Maine beach cottage w painted floors, a porch overlooking the beach, strong wifi and all the essentials for a low key summer holiday. A shed w chairs, toys and boogie boards. Linda, owner, is next door in twin house and couldn’t be nicer. Goose Rocks locale is great—Kpt, Kennebunk, Cape Porpoise, and rte 1 are minutes. Lobster, restaurants and good Take away are nearby. Boston, 1:40 hr. I picked my family up at Logan AP (from LA) at 8am, and we were on the beach by 10:30! Sound good? Thank you, Linda, for a wonderful stay!! Hope to see you next summer!
