Perfect Retreat

Absolutely wonderful holiday accommodation. Everything that we needed for our family of 4. The location was a short drive to Torquay centre. Far enough away for peace and relaxation. We could happily spend our whole summer there. Bliss.

We loved our stay here, the location and views are superb. We loved eating breakfast and dinner out on the patio everyday with those views. Excellent dark night sky's for astronomy, and we saw the Milky Way for the first time, in all its glory. Lovely hosts with a well presented property, we will definitely be back, this is a real hidden gem.

We enjoyed our stay at Monkswell Park very much with our 5 year old boy.

A clean and fully equiped garden appartement on two floors. Very quiet and privat. Direct access to the privat brandy cove with beautiful stones to find. An excellent view over the sea with gardenfurniture to enjoy breakfast and dinner outside. Very friendly welcome of Jenny and Julian. We felt like in "Beverly Hills" with the nice villas around Ilsham Marine Drive.

A most enjoyable holiday in Torbay

This was our second stay at Monkswell, which is ideally situated in a quiet location; Jenny and Julian as before were most welcoming. The Garden Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, providing everything you could need, with the most beautiful gardens and breath taking sea views. As we had a hot, sunny week we stayed 'local' in the Babbacombe to Brixham area and found plenty to see and do.

Fantastic sea views in a lovely property

This is a fantastic location,if you can get up early enough the sunrises over the sea can be beautiful.The apartment is very well equipped and very comfortable.We liked it so much we have booked another stay.It is also a great location for walks along the south west coast path can reccomend the walk to Oddicombe beach it has a very nice bistro and lovely view.

Exceptionally good!

We stayed tn the Garden Rooms for a week and loved it so much we would have extended our time there if it had been possible. The Garden Rooms is an annex to the main house, where the owners live, but it is completely self contained and has its own secluded patio area in beautiful garden. It is spacious, features all the comforts of home and is so well maintained that it felt like we were the first people to stay there. As was said by another reviewer, the pictures do not do it justice, unlike many places I have stayed, it is bigger than they suggest and the views are stunningly good. There is plenty to see and do nearby and there are good shops and restaurants within walking distance of the property.

It's the most awesome place to stay. It relaxing and ideal for recharging your batteries.

Julian and jenny are just so welcoming. The place is like home from home. Have been coming to monkwell for 10 years on and off. The garden the views are just the best. It's a great place to explore or hideaway.
